I stand by what I said: The first 5 tracks are the most consistant out of any Gallagher releated release since the 90s You're not really making a great case for the album by saying this. The same thing was said about Dig Out Your Soul. Alright let me rephrase that: The first 5 and the last 3 tracks are the most consistant

I reall enjoy it. The only thing I would have chsnged is I get by as a bonus track and swap it with "it does not have to be that way". Added to that, I'd swap When I'm In Need for All My People/All Mankind also

1) Wall Of Glass - Brilliant way to open the album, can't think of a better way to open the album - 8/10 2) Bold - Lovely second track, love how it builds from the begninng till the end. I LOVE the "lay it on me"'s constantly playing, espically towards the end of the track - 8/10 3) Greedy Soul - Liam's vocals are brilliant on this, love everything about this song, one of my favourites - 9/10 4) Paper Crown - Liam's vocals are beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful. I love how it's very acoustic. The sudden beat of the drums is perfect. I will NEVER tire of hearing this. One of my favourites - 9.5/10 5) For What It's Worth - Sounds so damn good on the album, it sounds so anthemic and it's placing only creates just an overall feeling of joy in my heart. No longer one of my favourites on the album but still up there - 8/10 6) When I'm In Need - Love the start, which sounds like a bad quality rip of Liam on the guitar but, I'm not a big fan of it overall. It feels a little out of place after the last track and the chorus just doesn't work for me and it sounds very Beatlesy (there's one song in particular but I dunno what it is) and I'd rather have put this as a bonus track tbh - 4-5/10 7) You Better Run - Back to a decent track, a pick-me-up after the last track. Love the music of this, the lyrics are good espically from the "Angels give me shelter" onwards. Love that whole part. I didn't use to like this track, now I really like it - 8/10 8) I Get By - I don't like this one, feels unneeded after You Better Run. To me, it almost has an "Ain't Got Nothin" vibe to it. I just don't rate this one and it has yet to grow on me. 2nd worst on the album by a mile. 5/10 9) Chinatown - I loved this when it first come out, still like it now. Liam's vocals are nice, I think the lyrics work with the music and what they were going for with this. Easy 7.5/10 10) Come Back To Me - Love..love...LOVE this one! Music is both reminiscent of the 90's but also something very familiar, like I've heard it before. Can't wait for a live version of this. Another high point of the album. This SHOULD have been released as an actual single, maybe instead of Wall Of Glass? - 9/10 11) Universal Gleam - People saying it's a Beady Eye-esq song, yeah I can see that but you know what..it's BETTER than anything they did period. Liam's vocals are better, lyrically it's better and musically it's better. I love how he pronouces "Reaaal"..along with "I won't ever let you doooooowwwwn". I love this song and a very strong ending to an album - 9/10 12) I've All I Need - What can I say? Liam's best vocals on the album, some of the best lyrics on the album and musically it's beautiful. Someone said on another thread that it's the best album closer since Champagne Supernova and I'd say since Roll It Over but it's hard to argue against that. I LOVE this track and I know I keep saying that but seriously, this is MY favourite of the enitre album - 10/10 BONUS 13) It Doesn't Have To Be That Way - I dunno what to make of this. It's...different, it's strange and almost hypnotic with it's music. It's so different to anything I have heard from Liam before. I am still in two minds as to if I actually really love it cause of the chorus or hate it - 6/10 14) All My People/All Mankind - After the madness of the last track we get a more normal Gallagher style song. It's a great track, possibly in the right place as a bonus track but then I'd definitely consider swapping out When I'm In Need. Though saying that, I love the line about selfies added to that, the line about fat cats in his Pretty Green I like also - 7/10 15) I Never Wanna Be Like You - I like this song, it's enjoyable and the way the verses are done is almost perfect in the style, some of the lyrics could be better I think. I just think it's an ok song - 7/10 +'s of the album: Liam's vocals are beautiful and amazing and tender in all the right places. The first 5 tracks are THE best 5 track run at the beginning of any Gallagher related album since at the very least SOTOG if not since Morning Glory. I can't fault anything in the first 5 tracks. The end of the album from 9-12 is also brilliantly done and the strongest end to a Gallagher album in at least a decade. -'s of the album: Tracks 6-8 are not strong enough. They work for a flow but in this age of Spotify who will listen to any of them three randomly if they are not a fan? I can't think of any more 9/10 for the album as a whole

What would you define as a chorus? flick of the finger. the whole song is a chorus Now that's a song without a chorus if there was ever one

He's doing 4 songs on Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this Friday one of them is usually a cover so not long to wait! Probably do Rock N Rol Star and that will be classed as the cover

I must have missed that, which lyric is it? www.gvnews.com/national/entertainment/liam-gallagher-writes-song-inspired-by-yoko-ono-meeting/article_9c1024dd-8bc6-5f70-baf2-c6b0c66f36d2.htmlLiam revealed: "I'll tell you an interesting fact. There's a line in there (on 'I've All I Need') that says 'I hibernate and sing, while gathering my wings.' I was over in New York once and I got a call saying, 'Yoko wants to meet you', and I just called me kid Lennon. So anyway we go to Yoko's house in the Dakota building. Cut a long story short, we go in there and in the kitchen - she invites us in and makes us a cup of tea - and she's got this banner, massive banner round the kitchen, and I said, 'Oh what does that mean?' And she goes, 'Oh John asked the same question when we went to Japan to meet my parents.' Anyway it says 'while I've been hibernating, I've been gathering my wings', and it was when he stopped making music. So I thought, write that down. So anyway, years go by, I've been trying to get it in to a song, could never get it in, and then it happened on that." I never knew that, thank you

Jesus wow yet another amazing tune. It's early but this could be the album of the decade. Feel free to hate on that statement but I mean what has come close? This is a debate that could go on forever on here but in my opinion, both NGHFB & BE had some great songs but as albums aren't anywhere near as good what we know 'As You Were' is offering. Liam and his PR team know how good it is too I've never seen Liam more confident it's fucking awesome. T minus 1 day I think Adele might have something to say about that. Who wants to hear someone warble her way through songs of heartbreak when you can listen to Liam Gallagher??

It just needs a great chorus, really. " You see me I got my magic pie"... WTF Noel Really just comes down to one word, "pie". Turn that word to "lie" and it's not a bad line. You see me I've got a magic lie?

Which of these tracks do you like most?
For me, it's a tough choice as I like Four Letter Word, Wall Of Glass, The Hindu Times and Death of You and Me.
I'll go for Four Letter Word but it was close

2/5 and this is pure Noel. The entire song is just a typical pure Noel type song. It's nothing to exciting, it doesn't really go anywhere and this song is typical of what Noel would go on later to do when solo.

Easily 1/5.
Worst song on Be Here Now and of that era (excluding the covers), Noel's worst vocals and the pinched lyrics from Tony bloody Blair doesn't help in what I consider some of Noel's worst lyrics of all time

I'm very pro the idea that Noel should casually release all his stock piled songs in this manner. Just get them all out of his system in smaller releases. I certainly don't want anymore 8-12 year old songs popping up on his LPs anymore. So please no Come On Outside on album #4 or Don't Stop The Fappening (or whatever its called). Or something like a from the vault release. A compilation of unused recordings inbetween albums would be good. Pretty sure all these songs have been recorded, and re-recorded and re-re-recorded, so there is something there. Now that would be a rather interesting release

I tried to listen to it a couple weeks back... got bored by track 5 and had to stop it. I'm not sure what "heart and soul" you found on that record. It sounds like a band going thru the motions of making a record because that's all they know how to do. Full disclosure, I was a massive fan of it upon release, but it has aged worse than a bologna sandwich with mayonnaise. Too many tracks. Too many of which fall under the "meh" category. I recon they really only had about 5 or 6 quality tunes, but decided to drop 13 tracks on the record. They were cleaning out the back-catalogue with this album and it showed. Most tracks are stale. Just my opinion of course. Four Letter word is pretty good Also i find Morning Son to be a touching song, as well as for Anyone and World Outside My Room. Never understood the hate for the Beat Goes on as well, although it is way too long. As i said, i revisited the tracklist FLW Millionaire The Roller Bring the Light For Anyone Wigwam World Outside My Room Man of Misery The beat goes on Morning Son Not the best record ever, but some good tunes. And it sounds pretty good on quality headphones. Four Letter Word The Roller Two Of A Kind Bring The Light For Anyone Kill For A Dream World Outside My Room In The Bubble With A Bullet Wigwam The Beat Goes On The Morning Son
