It's a nice little way of leading into the song though. If anything, it's a nod to 'die hards' in the audience - which is what people want? Idk, I mean it had the banter like on the bonus track from MOON and even had his warm up strums as he was walking back on stage. Why not just walk on stage and do the strums live? Small gripes for sure but it did seem odd. Many people in my section thought it was a mistake and they left Noel’s mic on backstage. Agree it felt odd to me too, esp. when you assume he's talking about blurring out Liam...

What was the Phil Smith DJ playlist prior to this gig (or any gig thus far on this USA tour)? Yep this isn’t a new thing. Sorry misread your post! Thought you were asking if he was the DJ prior to this gig. From what I recall in Detroit he did play that 'High Flying Birds' song but after that it was just a psychedelic mishmash of stuff I couldn't identify.

Is that what “papered” means? They gave away a bunch of free tickets to fill the venue up?

I think the fact he even went for a SOTSOG song (no matter which one) should be celebrated. Now, time to unearth Heathen Chemistry Next up - Hindu Times (I wish).

Okay sooooo had an amazing time last night and met loads of new amazing fans who are now friends! Love Oasis fans. I had the unbelievable luck to get a front row centre ticket from a fan who couldn’t attend so I drove down at the last minute from Toronto. I agree with some of the comments on this thread (primarily the lack of TMWBTM) but DITW was amazingly beautiful and was the new song I wanted most. Actually I really missed The Dying of The Light! I adore that song. Would have also loved to hear Slide Away, gets me every time. There are a billion other songs I would kill to hear Noel play from the old days but even with the lack of older Oasis material at least we got Go Let It Out! Personal highlights for me: - Seeing Noel sign the album for little Wyatt (very un-Noel to do that on-stage - he was in a good mood!) - Making some eye contact with Gem and getting a smile and a nod at the beginning (was SO thrilled to see him and Sharrock as always) - The entire show Noel doesn’t really look at me...I know him...if he’s wearing shades he’ll stare at you loads because he knows you can’t *quite* see him...but immediately before the last song he finalllyyy looks me dead in the eyes and I say “I love you so much!” Noel replies “You love me so much? Well this song is dedicated to you, and it is apt.” And he dedicated All You Need Is Love to me!!!! It took all my strength not to cry right there 😂 An amazing night and while every setlist could be better it felt amazing to be part of last night. Thanks Chief, see you in Toronto! ❤️ Pmsl ?

Dead in the Water because of the lack of production. YES! Reminds me of the old days when I fell in love with the demos of Solve My Mystery and It’s a Crime.

I think this has been derailed a bit over semantics, so let me comment. You're not going to please everyone—those who do will please no one. There are assholes in every community. As long as you try to do the right thing and be the best person you can be, though, then I figure you can sleep well at night with a clear conscience. Fans need to look out for one another, that's all. And if that creepy douchebag is reading this (if he can read at all, the fuck), fuck you, you piece of shit. Well said! 😁

Actually I do agree with the “ally” thing..,I once made the mistake of trying to be supportive of a certain group of people on FB who were actively using that term and holy shit did it ever blow up in my face! They were ready to attack and tell me all the ways I WASN’T one... 😮 There are people for whom purity tests matter more than actual allyship. They love nothing more than to tear down well-meaning people who just don't completely toe the party line at all times. It's why I've sorta given up on identity politics. I try to be good to everyone, and to always be ready to speak up for whoever needs it, but I steer clear of the dogmatists who'll reject me for not knowing the right shibboleth. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 THANK YOU!

I assure you, he was. I had lined up two hours before showtime. He was drunk out of his mind, inserting himself into the conversations of others, and getting handsy with strangers. He questioned the fandom of American Oasis (and soccer) fans. He was seriously one of the most annoying people I've ever met, in all my years of concert-going. That said, when he pestered this Argentinian guy and this Mexican girl, also on line, they gained the upper hand. One of them didn't speak English, so they decided to fuck with him. He was trying to talk to them, and they just responded with the most ridiculous things in Spanish. It got to the point where they took a picture with the asshole, and asked the asshole to hold up a sign. The sign said, in Spanish, "I have a tiny penis." It was beautiful. The way I see it, a concert is a place where you can have fun and forget your problems for a few hours. It bothers me to no end when assholes ruin that for others—especially those who can't handle their liquor and get touchy feely with strangers. And if there's one thing I know about scumbags like him, it's that if he sexually harassed women at one concert, he's done it at others. Now, seeing as he boasted to have seen Oasis over 180 times, surely he's perpetuated an unsafe environment for female fans for quite some time. (Who knows how many Oasis gigs he's scared women from going due of fear of being groped or harassed?) Well, that's not what Oasis fans are about, and we need to let scummy idiot bastards like him know that. So to all the men out there, speak up. Ask the women if they're okay and need help. And if they do, get security. Be their ally.So I end by saying, once again, fuck that guy. I hope one day he gets what's coming to him. May he get sent to hospital for the beatdown he so desperately deserves. Not to take anything away from this post, but the idea of "being an ally" is so frivolous. No matter what you do, people will say you're not being a good enough ally, and the people who tell you that are usually incredibly self righteous. It's about being a good person to everyone, not aligning to a certain group of people. It reeks of virtue signalling. Just a random thought as I was reading your post Actually I do agree with the “ally” thing..,I once made the mistake of trying to be supportive of a certain group of people on FB who were actively using that term and holy shit did it ever blow up in my face! They were ready to attack and tell me all the ways I WASN’T one... 😮

I'm waiting for someone to create a thread simply to discuss Liam's hat. I came looking for that. I ended up commenting here...

I hope Liam's not started to wear hats because he's losing his hair... To be fair, if it is going, it's probably best he cover his bonce up with something. I'm not sure I could stomach a bald Liam Gallagher. I figured his psoriasis might be flaring up and it’s a way to cover it. Didn’t notice anything off in Toronto but who knows 🤷♀️

His hat reminds me of the Right Here, Right Now documentary. Wrong...this hat is nowhere near as cool as his white one from that documentary 🙈
