I am convinced this account is Liam… I really don't think it's Liam. I've checked this account out when someone showed it to me a year ago or so and it already had wrong teases about Liam

Which newspaper(?) is that bit about the LA show with the different venue from ^^ Twitter link
Rose Bowl for sure would be a much more iconic location for their Cali gig.
I wonder if they announce the support already aswell for the NA shows.

This is so fucked. If they announce US dates/put tickets on sale right now, I'm screwed. I can barely afford my bills at the moment and have zero money for anything extra. Goddammit......

That 1.1 million tickets across 150 shows must be US only? Crazy they sold about that many tickets in the UK next year. Was 1.4m for UK give or take wasn't it, with another 180k to add on with the Wembley ones.

Looking back, when they did Wembley in '09 it looks like approximately 1/3 of the stadium wasn't even used. It's crazy to think about that many empty seats given how quick they can sell out UK dates. You would think the promoter/management this time would be real interested in finding some kind of a stage design that would suit the band and allow for more of the stadium's seating to be used.
I wonder how similar this UK run will look to 2009's seating and how the classic method of removing seating could still come into play on the Canada/US run (US specifically because we don't get a stadium show in Canada).
On that thought, the Rogers Center here in Toronto managed 52,704 for U2's 2017 Joshua Tree tour. The TO show is 24 with 25 as the off day and the Blue Jays are playing away games from Aug 18 - and including Aug 24. They return home on the 25. Had the away games been different I would have loved to see that Oasis date in the Rogers Center with the dome open and the CN Tower's lights in sync with the stage lighting. Would have made for a one off unusual show to draw in fans from around the world.
A stadium show would have also allowed for better security for the stage given what happened the last time I saw Oasis when Noel was attacked on Toronto Island Park mid concert.

I did 2 nights and this was full. As you can see on this biblical moment I will never forget this night

Because this time tickets have been sold behind the stage.

Uhh? What? Are you sure about this? According with the Ticketmaster maps, yes Oh I think Ticketmaster always put this same map, but when I was on the seats selection with the dynamic prices, there was nothing behind the stage. So maybe I do a big mistake but I'm 95% sure of myself. My bad if I'm wrong.

Why would you sell tickets behind the stage? Why would you buy tickets behind the stage? Am I missing summat here?

Why would you sell tickets behind the stage? Why would you buy tickets behind the stage? Am I missing summat here? I’ve seen shows behind the stage. Not for Oasis but others. Thought it would suck but it was actually an incredible and unique experience. You see what the band sees. Music sounds the same and you also see the crowd. The legion of fans going wild during songs. It’s just a perspective you don’t really think about.

Wembley 2009 never had a 1/3 shut off, the Thursday night wasn’t as busy but the other 2 gigs were rammed. This tour though has way more demand, and they’ve sold seats to the side of the stage classed as restricted

It remains to be seen if Oasis' stage show will have them

If they sell behind the stage nothing os obstructed.

It remains to be seen if Oasis' stage show will have them Having been to a gig of Swifts (women, ey) - the seats were at the side, a bit behind, but not 'behind' directly. Plus her stage set up obviously was a lot different. Oasis will be the classic style, it'll fill an end and they've sold some tickets that are directly side on.

I bought tickets to a sold out Billy Joel concert years ago and they were sold quite cheaply because the venue warned in advance it was "behind the stage" seating.
Four songs into the gig Billy just turned the whole band around to face us and started playing.
"And you all thought you were in the shit seats!" he laughed. Most of the songs were done withe band facing the front but he turned the band around to directly face us fairly regularly. Great gig.

The GA standing tickets make up for the “no seats behind the stage” stadium set-up.
Sofi Stadium in LA makes more sense than Rose Bowl bcz it is brand new’ish & therefore much more likely to handle the sound/tech. I can’t think of any artist playing the Rose Bowl in the last 30+ years.
The one venue I’m ashamed I didn’t think of earlier was the Sphere in Vegas. Maybe that’s only worth it if you spend $1m designing the stage show for that venue…hence it doesn’t get booked regularly on top tours.
