I live a 10 minute walk away from Heaton Park and the buzz yesterday was unreal. It's the only thing everybody was talking about in the pub yesterday, even none oasis fans.

Still awake here in Chicago… remembering the days I’d go to local music shops and pay $30 for an import single that had 1 song not on the album, so I had to have it. Miss those days. Truly hope there is a new Oasis album on the horizon complete with single releases and true b-sides that aren’t quadruple remixes.

If this is happening it’s interesting to think what this will do to the narrative of the 2000s era Oasis. Those of us who stuck by the band once the mainstream appeal waned are now witnessing a new generation dying for what a lot of people didn’t care for in 2009: a proper rock and roll band.
Even if this reunion is at its core leaning on WTSMG nostalgia, it’s great to think what new reflections will occur on the period post Knebworth.
Supersonic II seems almost a done deal, if this is happening.

I’m up and waiting though it belng 7.17am in England isn’t saying much! It’s pretty much official news already. Yesterday I saw news bulletins in the street advertising the reunion. I am anxiously anticipating what will be shared. But I’m already stressed about getting tickets and what a chaotic mess that will be given already how fast the DM tickets went when they were released.
I would be quite happy if we got a new album too. I’ve loved the solo albums (all of them) and would be thrilled with new music. But we’ll see what comes. 39 mins now…
