Well, Mike Rowe toured with Oasis too and he's great...

If this is true, it will be their first ever stadium tour on North America!! Cannot wait for the news and love how everything everywhere talks about the "reunion" Imagine Oasis finally breaking America in 2025. It would be great but a miracle.

Bonehead isn’t the soul of Oasis. Noel and Liam are. They sounded way better in 2009 than in 1997, except for Liam. For all I care Alex James and Larry Mullen Jr play bass and drums, as long Noel andiam are there, I’m happy.

My two cents on the line-up. While I'd love Bonehead, Gem was in the band longer, and has pedigree in both Beady Eye and High Flying Birds so I can't imagine he won't be there, especially given he regularly switches to lead too. Similarly, while he joined Oasis much later, Chris Sharrock was in BE and HFB. The key point being that both Gem and Chris have maintained a working relationship with both brothers over the past fifteen years. Mike Rowe is bound to be there on keys, given he was an Oasis stalwart and remains part of HFB. Bass is the only tricky one. There's no chance of Guigsy, and Noel/Andy don't seem like best buddies. My money would be on Jay Mehler. Played bass for latter-day Beady Eye, and guitar for Liam since 2017. Although Jeff Wootton has also done bass duties for both brothers in the past, so could be another (albeit less likely) option. So, OFFICIAL BAND: Lead Vocals - Liam Gallagher Lead/Backing Vocals, Lead/Rhythm Guitar - Noel Gallagher Rhythm/Lead Guitar - Gem Archer Drums - Chris Sharrock TOURING/LIVE MEMBERS: Bass Guitar - Jay Mehler / Jeff Wootton Keyboards - Mike Rowe That's essentially picking up where they left off, but with a new bassist that has form with Liam over the last ten years. Russell Pritchard is more than capable. Plus all these musicians in NG's band are tour seasoned right now- and ready to go.

Desperately hoping for Alan - he was on the lineup I used to scribble on my pencil case at school in 1995…

Yes, Gem did some great guitar work. But that wall of sound was lost without Bonehead. And Noel played like a maniac during 1996-1998. Just listen to the difference of Acquiesce

Never can understand these people who think Bonehead is the essence of Oasis, it's an insane take to me. Sure, he was important to the overall sound but it's Liam's vocal first and foremost, then it's Noel's melodies, choruses and his own distinct guitar sound which seems to get forgotten about imo

Oasis Facebook is 50/50 about if it’s a reunion or not. Bit idiotic really. Everyone going on about a kit that’s already been announced.

Just a speculation based on the sun rumours... If this is true (and that's a big if) I have no problem at all with it. - we've got three experienced Oasis members and excellent musicians - Gem's guitar is essential to Oasis sound - Russ is a great bass player and awesome at backing vocals - If the female voices are coming we can have amazing renditions of Cast No Shadow, She's Electric, Champagne Supernova and who knows, maybe even All Around The World I know Bonehead will be missed but IMO we can do without him All the info in the article is from the S*n, don't believe anything that rag has to say

And if you’ve not seen ‘em, I’m afraid to break it to you but you’re a casual fan. 🎱 🥎
