It’s facts that’s the plan … Unless you're either Marcus Russell, Debbie Gwyther, Noel Gallagher or Liam Gallagher.

Typical lack of ambition from the band and management, shouldn't have thought any different to be honest. I’ll wait until I hear something from Noel before I’ll make that judgement. Even for the Gallaghers, the scale of their comeback must have been overwhelming and I do think this could have made them think about doing more than just this one tour. I just can’t believe Noel would go back to making solo albums after this. His ego is way too big not to have a final banger oasis album. But maybe I’m coping here

Liam loves to misdirect on Twitter, with the odd scrap of genuine info snuck in so people don’t suspect foul play. I’m pretty confident of a doc coming out at some point late 2025/2026, along with a new album.

Obviously the no interviews policy is applied to avoid question about the scissor player.

Do they really care about enhancing their legacy? Or will it just be take the money and run with absolutely no content whatsoever. Now is the perfect time to change tack from the mediocrity that surrounded the band at the end of their original run in 2009 and do something brilliant again. Noel and co probably think 'ungrateful bastards' at such a stance, but being the self-proclaimed biggest thing ever, you need more than just some gigs. And for their scale, it demands something special. Typical lack of ambition from the band and management, shouldn't have thought any different to be honest. But what does "do something brilliant" mean? An album? Well you can't just decide to make a brilliant album. Noel is nearly 60 years old and they're a band of middle aged men. I don't really think they've got any classic album in them. Should they release an album, it's likely be around the level of the stuff towards the end of Oasis. Just have to be realistic about that. I don't reckon that would be a disaster though. A handful of decent enough brand new Oasis tunes would be nice to hear, even if they're not gonna change the world. As for anything else, I'm not sure what they can do before the tour. The story of Oasis in their peak has been done to death, every man and their dog knows it, so there's no need for a documentary or anything unless there's one made of the actual tout. The tour isn't even until the second half of next year. There's really no need to start doing press and media for it. I've no doubt they eventually will but the tickets have sold. Now they can just create suspense or focus on doing it on their own terms.

So far, thet are doing a great job. The silence works, we’ll sure get something the coming months. I kind of like the mystery, especially the media silence by Noel. Why is it sure that we will get something? The media silence by Noel is a practical, not a marketing move. Just think of the questions he would have to answer. Is it impossible that we'll get everything we want? No. At this point does anything suggest it's likely? No. What would you have wanted by now? A new album? Joint interviews? A secret gig? Are all the gigs announced yet? Are thet going to Japan/South Korea as well? There is enough time for anything. Of course they van fuck it up, but Oasis is a much bigger band than The Stone Roses, and Oasis’ legacy is much bigger. Often Noel hasn’t any idea what he is releasing, but they really nailed tbe Chasing the Sun (tracklists were shit, but only the diehard fans care about that) Supersonic and Knebworth 1996. Their legacy before the reunion was already really good before the reunion because of that. I’m confident Noel and Liam/Debbie know what they’re doing. I hope for an album, but I’m fine without it. There will be interviews, but there is enough time for that. Only superfans like us complaim about a lack of interviews, but it doesn’t really care for their legacy.

You doubted the reunion, photo shoots etc .. you don’t have to know Liam or Noel to know people in the know . The things I stated are what’s touted for next year and beyond . Unless something drastic changes then expect a barrel load of plans from next year . This isn’t some spur of the moment thing it’s been planned for ages it just needed the brothers to see it all out till dates could be confirmed

All is see these last 2 pages are the same lot that said "no chance they Reunite".
I wouldn't shut down anything at this point.
I believe there will be a new album. I also believe that there is a chance of a documentary.
A press conference no. I don't see that happening.

I'd say the documentary will defo happen (at some point) the way Liam was talking was about a retrospective which isnt needed as has been done to death... but no way they wont film / document wants happening now / next year etc... it'll defo happen

Noel Scraps an Accoustic album for a big sounding proper rock album and then Oasis reunites.
Ya I'm sure he's going to Reunite Oasis and then leave and do a big solo rock album lol
Of course it will an Oasis record.

I can see maybe a single with a b-side / bonus track as they're called these days released shortly before the gigs start, then a Q1 2026 tour doc directed by Mat Whitecross that acts as somewhat of a sequel to the 2016 Supersonic rockumentary, marking ten years since that one released (unbelievable to think it's been nearly a decade). Everything about this tour promo has had an air of finality surrounding it that I believe is hard to ignore.

Noel definitely wants his crown back; NGHFB was going down the drain and he needs to be adored again;
So there will be a new Oasis record; But not before the MG reissue madness. 2026 is my bet for new material.
in the meantime, we will get a lot of stuff from MG days. Footage, extra tracks and demos. Its gonna happen.

In what way is Noel's hugely successful UK tour and no.2 Council Skies album (only stopped by Foos from being no.1 and number of copies shifted very respectable) and biggest solo gig he ever played in Korea HFB going down the drain? The poor US tour doesn't count because he was barely known in the US anyway. Council Skies was his most acclaimed album since the first solo one. That's hardly a failing career. No one last year was saying Noel's solo career was going down the drain except for people who didn't like Council Skies and those people were in the minority and that's their opinion not a fact

It would be great if they made an album that reflected their age. They can't remake 90s Oasis but Noel's still got what it takes to write brilliant songs. The quality of his solo songs is far above his output of 00s Oasis. I'd love a Ragged Glory/Old man but still rockin type album.

I'm taking bets that the MG reissue has Step Out with Liam on Vocals
You can book it.
I wonder if they can work something out with Stevie Wonders camp and release it as a single for the reissue.
Really only hard-core Oasis fans know the song. I think it would have been a big success if it was on Morning Glory which was the plan orginally.

It was 300k for WBTM... (back the way we came sold 100k). Its a long way from the 300k of WBTM ! There was little to no buzz around CS, there was press yes, and critics are one thing, actual sales are another. It doesn't strike as a successful album, but maybe album sales are an opinion i dont know. As for gigs, Noel is not doing arenas, its smaller venues and festivals, so he's always almost 100% sure to fill his dates. Its a smart move; Does Korea count as successful worldwide ? i'm not sure; Its slowing down, if you prefer;

I wonder if they can work something out with Stevie Wonders camp and release it as a single for the reissue. I don't think there's anything to work out, the writers of Uptight are credited as writers of Step Out so will get money from sales of it. Obviously had it been included on WTSMG that would have been a lot of money, so it was pulled from it, but there's nothing stopping Oasis from releasing it as a single or on any reissue if they're willing to sacrifice some of the royalties. Wonder/Cosby/Moy will have made money from the Don't Look Back in Anger single, the Chasing the Sun WTSMG reissue and Familiar to Millions already.

Its a smart move; Does Korea count as successful worldwide ? i'm not sure; Its slowing down, if you prefer; Think you mean 2023 not 2022? Noel's album sold 39k in its first week, Foos sold 44k. And Liam sold less when he got no. 1 later in the year. Think that tells us more about the state of the market in 2023 as compared to the market in 2017 than Noel's career status. Of course he wasn't doing arenas but he sold out RAH, his intimate gigs in Bournemouth sold out in minutes, he appeared in Gibson Icons series, That Pedal Show so his profile wasn't exactly low last year. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he was some mega star, just that he was doing better than you give him credit him for. I've no doubt he wants the adoration that comes with playing stadiums under the Oasis banner and that was probably the main part of his decision to reunite. Something Liam said a couple of weeks ago about putting wrongs to right also must've been part of the decision.

In what way was Noel not playing arenas?
Towards the end of 2023 he played arenas in Hull, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool.

My mistake about arenas !
It does seem like its slowing down though; Album sales are the basis for tours booking usually. Were they mostly sold out ?
So its not a good sign to have that big of a gap between sales numbers of two records, although as i said earlier, the Liam and Oasis following is still strong so they're always likely make a lot of money from their gigs because people go mainly for the hits;
But recording wise, its not looking good : That means the next NGHFB album could have sold even less... Noel is clearly not in any danger of failing hard, but after WBTM, the worry was there, or he wouldn't have made such a MOR record. and that move wasnt that successful; nor it was a total failure;
In comparison, the LG/JS album sold 40k, which for a side project is ok i guess.
For Noel, under 100k, its not that really good a number isn't it ? It seems very low to me, i was really surprised looking at those numbers.
