I'm seeing rates (already) at Holiday Inn Express' in excess of $650/380 pounds per night- if they are even available at all, sooner than later. My buddy was able to "easily" get rooms for T Swift (Wembley shows), but that was nearly two years in advance...and they estimated about 10% of her audience was "international", or ~ 10,000. I actually think- and many here would know better than I do- there would be a number more of "international" visitors for these shows- or more specifically- attendees who require lodging, given the distance they are going to be traveling. He's a typical US 35 year-old male: really has zero clue how massive this band still is, over the pond. It would be hilarious to see them take down Swift's 8 shows. Living stateside, this would be a dream vacation, but I simply cannot justify nearly $4,000 in lodging at a Holiday Inn-like place for a handful of days- then tix, eats, and airfare. $10,000, easy. Easy. Will be interesting to see what develops re dates for the US. Have a blast everyone! This is the math that I really need to sit down and do, because you're right - I have several years of experience at being a typical 35 year-old US male and I haven't the faintest idea what the logistics of this looks like. Hate to have to explain to the kids why they won't be going to college, but would also hate to miss out on the 100x energy multiplier that would come from seeing the band in the UK.

I cannot wait to hear what either of them have to say about this in an interview, especially Noel is gonna be on top form here. IF they do an interview. I doubt it'll be together Doesn't even have to be together tbh, just to hear him talk about it is gonna be fucking amazin. Especially with his sense of humour as well. Plus, someone had to pick up the phone...

Remember when you could see Oasis for 30 euros / £ ? I want to go but 180 per ticket, oh my I was looking at the ticket for my last Oasis gig, that's going to be some inflation

I really hope I’m wrong but I think there’s going to be a lot of disappointment here Saturday morning (myself included).
I have friends, friends of friends, dogs of friends etc planning on going and I’ve never once heard them speak about Oasis. Not once. This is going to be an event/happening that people need to be at rather than an Oasis gig if that makes sense?

The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised. I wonder if this is Noel subtlety giving us lyrics to upcoming new Oasis material? There's got to be new music coming as part of the reunion? Surely?! I'd be massively disappointed if we didn't get at least a new song or two. Obviously Noel written, Liam sung. Noel desperately scrambling to find a word that rhymes with "televised" that isn't "televised". A-LIIIIIIIIIIII-gned Tele-VIIIIIIIIIIII-sed Sun-SHIIIIIIIIIII-ne It's happening.

Been talking to my madferit friends and we all believe it will be a miracle to score tix in general sale.

You could well be correct but there will be people that will see the prices and think no way. AC/DC in July at Wembley was £130 for a standing ticket, I think this will be the same. That will put people off for sure. The demand is still going to be enourmous but they must be approaching a million tickets with all these dates.

Yep, I "have the money" but I am very tight when it comes to spending (a lot of it) on travel- never mind the cost of going over 7 time zones for an event like this. God damn, I just think this entire shit show is going to be even bigger than we can imagine, somehow. I'm 47 now, with a wife, so the backpacking/sleeping on the ground option is "out" for me- but good for everyone else who can rough it, save a ton of money, and make some memories. Memories are great- but even they come with a monetary cost. I don't know what the number would be that would allow me to sleep at night, but $10K is a bridge much too far, lol.

I honestly don't understand why we didn't get any interviews yet no words from both liam or noel Because they want to drip feed us with new content to keep the buzz and hype going. Just the announcement that Oasis are back is already huge and gives the people a lot to talk about. They're not going to give us everything in a day

Today the announcement, maybe ticket prices this week. In a few months maybe something about band members etc. I do wonder if NG will end up appearing at the Anthony Joshua fight that Liam's playing at. Highly unlikely but he is mates with the promoter Eddie Hearn. Ultimately I don't think we'll get a lot out of them until later in the year. At best you'll get an exclusive with a major newspaper/media publisher.

That's what I did for LGDM30 in Sheffield about a week before the gig

Also: this is the best part of a year away. What happens between now and then for them both? They will never be in the same room until rehearsals I don't think so at all. Everyone who is so adamant that they're still on bad terms currently probably were also 100% sure that the reunion is never going to happen. Surprised that many people are still so confident about their negative takes on things now that they were all proven wrong. Would have thought by now people would question their own negative perception more instead of being so sure that everything is so bad

I missed the train home from the Wembley 2000 gig, and slept the night in Paddington Station. Ended up getting kicked out by the cleaners in the early hours, and walking around London for an hour or two before jumping on the first train of the day... Horrible experience at the time, but interesting memory now!
