Yeah, why not this one I think we all went through this hairstyle oasis phase. Glad it’s over though Yeah, but it is not like that Liam's hair is much better 🤣

www.nytimes.com/2024/08/27/arts/music/oasis-reunion-tour.htmlThe picture on the article is even worse. Garish photo from the 1996 VMAs. Makes you think they'd done it on purpose almost. Article is a little bit condescending about the band too. But the NYTimes were never fans. There's some concert / album reviews / articles from their archives back in the 90s and early 00s that were pretty negative about them - and they were far from the only American newsmedia outlets who didn't seem to like the band much.

Noel Gallagher does not need the money , oasis was making them 4/5 million each year .. there albums have been in the uk top 50 for the last 5 years it seems .. they can do no more in their solo careers .. age is a big factor with Noel , the time is right . New music will follow As for USA stadium tour they’d fill 5/6 easily they’ll cherry pick the areas .. they won’t do an extended tour because that’s what causes friction in the band they get bored .. stadiums wil be played over multiple arenas.. Bonehead seen Noel awhile back he stated that other week , there was no coincidence that even guigsy was spotted out and about … Those guys always need money, I know that it's hard for us common people to understand. Noel played on that yacht for millionaires and billionaires and completely humiliated himself there to get extra money. 99% of the world’s problems come from the fact that rich people want to become even richer. I’m not saying Noel does this solely for the money, but those claims that he doesn’t need money are unconvincing and funny tbh. I kinda agree with this. When you reach a certain level of wealth, Money is the only goal. There's always something richier than you an its the only link that keep the family together.

Incredible.
Let's be honest no one has the slightest idea where they are in terms of being on good terms or whatever. Trying to work it out from a couple of photos is crazy. Just enjoy it, more will follow soon I'm sure!

I assume the only reason people feel underwhelmed is because it's literally just a tweet. No video of them together. Both look pretty miserable in the photos. Give it time I would say. This is the start. I'm sure we'll get some interviews soon where we can see for ourselves if they are on good terms again. Patience. We've got what we wanted. Let's see how it plays out. Tbf they always looked miserable in photoshoots even back in the day

It feels weird not seeing something from Liam or Noel... you know... talking to us? Hey! We're back. It's all coming through controlled media + commercial avenues... Even if it's a money grab, can it not FEEl like that? We'd love some heart and soul! I guess for Noel, it is what it is. Noel must surely still have a lot of bad blood for the fans as he's had a very cagey falling out with them over the last 10 years or so. And now, it's time to pay up and get it line!!! Give them a minute, it's been 2 hours!

Perfectly put. When Noel shouted THIS IS HISTORY, he meant it in his heart. This feels so transactional at the moment. It does. The big risk is these gigs are as souless as the last tour. We know these two have no qualms about phoning it in for a whole tour or even the most important gigs they do - see Glastobury 2004. So if either is in a grump by gig 4, no doubt they'll still get on stage, but it'll be a pretty miserable affair. I'm sure the first few will be alright, but of they haven't genuinely patched things up, the gigs could get pretty joyless. And that would just tarnish their legacy even more. A lot of people who didn't see them in the last years look at them with rose tinted glasses. I hope they're not going to destroy that for everyone. That would ruin their legacy for good. There is an ungodly amount of money on the table for both of them. Liam has been nigh on excellent with his own band reagrding punctuality, finishing the gig and his behaviour in general. The dates are spread out to protect his voice. They are not going to be best mates again seeing the World for the first time like 1994 / 1995 but there is no reason why they both won't be truly set for life and their kids lives if they play relatively nicely, the odd word here or there just to keep the press wound up and reporting every bowel movement as usual. I hope they grow into the tour and that the relationship thaws over time, whether this ushers in a new Oasis era or it ends in summer 2026 (thats my prediction, see you in Hertforshire) we'll see. Enjoy it, the boys are back in town!!!

Big vibes of two contestants getting an unexpectedly annoying question in the Pointless final.

Oh indeed, I hope Oasis runs a revolution through the US, just have a hard time seeing the Rose Bowl packed. Could the u.s dates be a co headline? We know Noel loves a co headline in the states so if partnered with some 90/00’s act? Great to see you back mate!

I hope Noel isn’t regretting his decision. He doesn’t look best pleased in the new photos, but then the whole thing looks to have been pretty awkwardly done. And Noel isn’t the most photogenic anyway — those deeply ingrained frown lines always make him look surly.
But whatever. I just hope this doesn’t throw them back to that last tour in the 00s, and all the resentments that went with it.

Anyone else feel slightly off about all this? I know what you mean. I was as excited as anyone, but suddenly I'm feeling a bit down on it. I guess the photos, the clear plans not to make music, it does feel like a rather cynical minimum effort cash grab. Which it almost certainly is. Oasis was always about a spirit for the first three albums at least. This completely lacks that and actually seems completely counter to it. I know I'll be there. But spending hundreds on tickets if they wouldn't be in a room together if not for the money would leave a sour taste. Part of what I'm paying for is supposed to be seeing a band, not a cold and calculated business exercise. It's sad if we're all being manipulated to help a couple of divorced millionaires with their bills... People who watch Noel more closely than me can speak for him but I don't think it's all about money for Liam. He'd do a gig down the Dog and Duck if it meant being onstage with his brother again.

Being onstage as Oasis you mean. I doubt he has much of a relation to the person Noel anymore.

Its almost bittersweet because this could be it. So folks, don't overthink it. Just fucking enjoy the ride THE BIG O ARE BACK
That’s true let’s enjoy it, with Noel’s health declining fast this could genuinely be the last note Let’s enjoy every second He's got a dodgy knee hasn't he? Hardly terminal.

Yeah I think Liam would do it in a heartbeat. For Noel it's always been about certain things but he's been open in saying if someone offered a shit ton of money, he'd do it. I get the feeling that Noel, creatively, isn't in the best of places. I think he genuinely feels that he's said all he wants to say as a solo artist with Council Skies and he's struggling where to go with it. And in the meantime, someone's lobbed a few hundred mil on the table. Liam's smashed it with the DM tour and it's the way to celebrate the 30th of MG. I never wanted a reunion (but I'm glad it's here, if that makes sense), but I don't think anyone should really kid themselves that money is a huge driver in anything like this. They've both got enough money to do it for free if they wanted.
