Reminiscing is frustratingly tantalizing and bittersweet.

How to spot an Aussie eshay: Every 4th word rhymes with hunt. (I only use it referring to A.C)

Now I know how people in the UK felt about Thatcher in the past. This far-right government is exactly what I feared. They're currently destroying our welfare state and trying to privatise everything, all the while forcing people to work in shit conditions so they could afford living.
It's fucking sad. For example, our healthcare was already in trouble; there weren't enough nurses or doctors and they weren't paid enough, so many changed the field or changed to private. What this new government has now done, is making a new law stating that we can't hire more hospital staff when there's a deficit. Instead, the current staff has to find a way to do more work with the same amount of people. This means overtime, longer waiting times, delayed surgeries and treatments, more mistakes which can end up being fatal, etc. etc.
The point is to make people mentally and physically tired of using public healthcare services and driving them to spend their money on private clinics. Another way of doing this is closing public A&E departments or at least controlling their opening times so people have no other option but to go private.
At the same it's a fucking muppet show in the government. It'd be almost funny if it wasn't for the fact they're playing with people's lives. The prime minister is a lying peace of shit with no charisma who is controlled by the Employer's Association. The finance minister is a racist who's made some "anonymous" online posts in the past where she's dreamed of killing coloured people with a gun. The employment minister was a real neo-nazi at first but when that was uncovered they changed him to a racist pedophile. The other ministers, well... first of all they're total fucking idiots but also blinded by their far-right ideology to the point they're willing to destroy our country just so any refugees wouldn't think this is a desirable place to move to.
e. This was just the tip of the iceberg. Unions were trying to strike against them but they quickly made a law banning political strikes lasting over 24 hours. Anyone who's striking more than a day has to pay a fine. It's 200€ per day.

All this in combination what's happening in Gaza and Ukraine, the climate change, how fascism is rising in Europe and how people seem so divided these days... it's making me depressed and angry. I try not to think about it too much but that's exactly what they want too. They want people to just accept the situation and go on. Ignore all the sickness and let them fucking continue. -- I applied to study pharmacy in university and went to the exam without much preparation. My chemistry knowledge was lacking but the other parts went well. So well, in fact, that I think I have a real change to get in I felt like I found "my thing", finally. Though, I'm not sure the actual work in drug stores is what I'm looking for but the 2 year Master's program would allow me to focus on more research and specialist type of work, potentially. The biggest problem is actually funding the studies since the government passed new bills which made it a lot harder for older people to finance their studies.

So sad to read about what happened to Dr Michael Mosley. His programmes were always fascinating and he seemed like such a lovely man. RIP.

It's supposed to be June and not autumn yet it feels like the latter and I'm still wearing winter clothes as it's just not warm enough for summer things yet.

I find watching YouTube police interrogation videos to be calming. Perhaps it’s the muffled monotone recording acting as white noise, or the precarious ‘chess match’ between the two participants - intriguing enough to hold interest, yet uneventful enough to drift to sleep.
