Just wrote a letter to the Dutch government regarding their new psychoactive substance law that they're trying to pass. I think they're obligated to read all the feedback and I think I managed to make a pretty good case against the law and showed them why they're only making the situation worse. Usually a third of those proposals will be edited (improved) based on the feedback they get so I actually feel like I'm doing something important.
Also it was surprisingly fun to write that kind of protest message while actually having lots of knowledge about the subject.

2005: Music videos are dumb 2020: Nothing to do but watch music videos
The future has disappointed.
I've been watching quite a lot of MTV lately and I have to say, 99% of the music videos is just highly forgettable. You'd think the biggest hits have the best MVs, and if that's the case, I'm afraid to check out what lesser-known artist have in store for us.

Mad how it's changed.
Music videos back then used to feel like a 4 minute film but now so throwaway.

I refuse to believe that you of all stalkers people Nigel hasn't discovered a vast treasure trove of "ahem, non-musical (bar cheesy 80s sound tracking) videos" online
Lockdown protesters in the States are calling the response to the pandemic socialist?
USA needs to end its love affair with capitalism. It’s an abusive relationship by this point.
Been on a video where Australian anti lockdown protesters are doing the same old shite about Freemasonry. My uncle and I think his son were Freemasons and in no way are they taking over the world. (His son can't, he hates politics in the mining sector)
I love and hate the feeling when you want to listen to so many different kind of music at the same time but you can only do one song at the time
I'm just listening to Pavement's Slanted & Enhanced but I also kinda want to listen to Big Star tonight... and Spacemen 3. And it's already midnight.
Also totally unrelated but I played this arpeggio thing last week and it sounded quite nice to me so here if anyone wants to hear: clyp.it/qjneejt5
I never thought arpeggios would become something I like playing coz I was so fucking bad at them at first. But maybe it's the Johnny Marr influence creeping on me

Went to see my doctor today and he didn't see my situation as concerning as I originally thought. I think it can take even 6 months to fully heal from the surgery I had a couple of months ago (even though he originally said i should be mostly ok after a month but maybe that was too optimistic) so all I can do now is wait and hope for the best. He also said that another operation is risky when it comes to the healing because it could develop even worse scar tissue.
This was a relief to me because it was the first time seeing the doctor since the surgery because I moved back to UK so quickly and then the corona quarantine and I really had no idea how bad the situation was. But now I at least know it's still possible for me to heal from it I think.
