I survived the Vaping Epidemic of 2019. I’ll survive Coronavirus 2020 as well. What trying times we live in. 7,000,000,000 people 100,000 Coronavirus cases 3,000 Coronavirus deaths I’ll take my chances. Stfu about the Coronavirus. What’s the media coverage like on Coronavirus in other countries? Because here the national media on both sides have simply lost it. This is the most stupid thing since last years idiotic vaping ‘epidemic.’ Fear mongering at its finest. People keep telling me how I’m in the vulnerable category because of my various illnesses. I’d rather not think about it. Bravado exterior but I’m silently freaked out - more so at the breakdown of modern society more than anything else, mind. My parents are in their 70s (dad is 75), so they are taking this seriously, too. RETREAT..... ! Will be hunkering down at my parents’ gaff beginning tomorrow morning. I’m not going to pretend anymore - I’m terrified. Again, not necessarily of the virus per se, but of the catastrophic fall out it will continue to reap. Easily worse than 9/11.... Quite the ride... When you get more information, thoughts and behaviors change. Not really that shocking but okay. I’ve also been watching the media more, and have clearly given in to their whipped up hysteria as well. The problem with this event is that there are too many unknowns, and we as a society are making this up as we go along, which itself is terrifying.

In terms of University, I'm not having online classes of German and English. Instead of that we are having weekly evaluated tasks that aren't being exactly challenging and are done in a couple of hours at most. My first online class will be tomorrow, on the subject of Basic Management Principles and it's gonna be held on the ZOOM program (anybody ever used it?).I'm using it every day for teaching lessons and for meetings. It's pretty straightforward. So far the vast majority of my students have been able to use it. Class just finished. Agree with what you said. We also had to use Discord for a case study we had to do in groups.

I love that George Harrison was a major Austin Powers fan.

I hate when someone sends me a pm to ask if I have a certain bootleg, even official release to send it to them. I don't work on a commando.

No doubt pal but it's a shame you were so late to the party as the information was very much already there. I think your earlier attempts to trivialise the pandemic (comparing it to people's concerns over vaping) and strong choice of language (telling others to "shut the fuck up" about the subject) was blatantly insensitive towards a circumstance in which many, many people were voicing their concerns for their lives, their families and friends lives and their means of living. If you follow and give any credence to Donald Trump, Fox News or the like and listened to them ridiculously downplaying the impact the virus could have, you'll have received falsely mixed messages on what was going on but still should have obviously erred on the side of caution over such a potentially serious dilemma. I see they both U-Turned on the subject too. When you line up and compare your choice of language back then to what you're saying now I think it's really quite laughable, especially with how little time has passed. Had you spoken reasonably it wouldn't have been note worthy. (Oh FYI, for someone who likes to play up their British roots, comparing world events to 9/11 is considered a noticeably American trope. Ciao.)

theyknowwhatimean, the Moff-ster will be doing a tweet-a-long re-watch of Day of the Doctor tonight at 7PM. He's also written a brand-new three-minute scene to introduce it for us. I know it's all down to Coronavirus, but I just knew the man wouldn't be able to stay away from writing Doctor Who stuff for long. It really is where his imagination belongs.

Still can't believe how well this year started and how optimistic I was about the near future. But now it's just been constant struggle, uncertainty and failed plans. I guess there's still lots of time for another positive turn but I gotta admit I've found it hard to accept everything that's been happening lately.
Maybe next year... Although I was planning to spend my last months in Glasgow a bit differently and if I actually end up being holed in till summer then I'll be a bit disappointed. Although right now this lockdown is the least of my worries coz I still can't really go out because the recovery from the surgery takes a bit longer than I thought. If there's something positive this at least makes me respect my health more, I can't wait till I'm ok coz I fucking hate this.

What keeps me going is thinking of how excited everyone is going to be once this all gets done. We'll be able to embrace each other and go wherever we please and do whatever we place without worrying about getting sick or getting others sick. It's going to be one hell of a party and we just have to keep holding out in anticipation for that in the future.

The Doctor: I hate rats.
Gantok: There are no rats in the transept.
The Doctor: That's good.
Gantok: The skulls eat them.
