Got a haircut and was thinking of dying it as I'm bored of my own colour (hairdressers always go completely nuts over my natural haircolour though) and the hairdresser suggested a "balayage" and showed it to me. I got all excited and was like "Yes, yes, let's do the balayage thing!" and then I asked what it costs and then all my dreams were shattered and I must have looked like a ghost. €160,- !!! Is this some kind of disgusting joke? That's insane.

I’m feeling rather intimidated. QMUL Postgrad is 5 classes plus the dissertation. University of Manchester Postgrad is 8 classes plus the dissertation. When I was at QMUL for the first semester in 2014, I remember thinking how easy it was - it wasn’t any more difficult than my undergrad degree. But the 3 additional classes at Manchester seems incredibly intimidating, I don’t know how I’d keep up with the workload. And yeah, I’m already stressing about my capability of completing a dissertation, and I’m not even at the bloody school yet. Generalized Anxiety Disorder is literally the fucking worst. I will say that the months leading up to QMUL, I was doubting my capability as well, but when I got there I saw I was indeed capable. I can only hope for the same experience at Manchester. guigsysEstring The first piece of advice I can give you at this point is to forget about QMUL- This is a new chapter of your life and you are a different person to the man of 2014 You will be in a new city without the distraction of home or the memories of a difficult time in London so as long as you plan and stick to a working routine/schedule (call it what you want) the yes the work will be substantial but it should be manageable. The anxiety is always going to be there but in this instance I would say it is probably caused by you overthinking the course before you have even started, and the fact that you have been out of higher education for an extended period of time due to your health issues also adds doubts to your capabilities, but remember that you were capable of getting onto the course in the first place and before your health problems overtook you it was certainly manageable. The last paragraph suggests to me that you know all of the above already Nigel, so focus on what you know you can do and indeed have previously done rather than filling your head with thoughts of "what if?" in negative type scenarios As always best, Guigs

£75-90 on Amazon and eBay, didn't realise they were so highly valued since I brought the first two on vinyl back in 1996 and 1997- on reflection perhaps discogs isn't badly priced after all.

Occasionally, I will break out the calculator to make certain that I am 30 years old. Sadly, my calculations have been right every time. #whatsmyageagain

Pictured reading Karl Marx beside his parents' pool, facing ridicule he bleated: "That doesn't make me rich, no way, it's only outdoor and it isn't heated."

I will never understand the French harness suspension law. If rhere is a group I II or III you're allowed to drive. WHAT? Why?

Fuck. My friends bought Helsinki-Athens-Budapest-Helsinki flights and I want to book myself the same trip but it's hard before knowing for sure where I'm going to live next November...
Is it cheap to fly from Glasgow/Edinburgh to Greece? And I hope it's possible to skip a few days + weekend from uni...
And the Athens-Budapest flights are getting more expensive all the time because Finnish fans are started booking them now... It used to be 45€ couple of weeks ago, now it's 80€.

As long as it's cleaned/cooked properly, I guess so........... Sounds like the answer is yes. Long as it is not a sewer rat. Think I'd need hot sauce though

As long as it's cleaned/cooked properly, I guess so........... Sunday this was said (not by me): If Bird Parker is beaten I eat a rat. That's where the question comes from.

Knowing this guy......he could. Even though our suggestion fell flat (Bird did win Sunday). We could just feed a certain person rats until she shuts up. ( Beady’s Here Now, not you. You haven't pissed me off a much as this female English Swedish commentator did.)
