FUCK! Why did no one tell me it's bank holiday and I don't have work??? Just drove almost an hour to the workplace and back only to discover there's no one there! God I'm so stupid. Not stupid. Time to party. Lemons make lemonade, don't they? Where I live it's already 2:50am. The night's basically over. Although I just drank two (big) cups of coffee so I might be up for a while. Now I'm drinking beer. I guess I can still do something for a few hours. "Slightly" annoying that I could've gone out with my friends but now it's too late for that.

Well, my mate just asked if I'm going to Saint Etienne gig tomorrow. It's Sunday but I wouldn't be suprised if he can sort me some afterparties after the gig.
Wouldn't mind having a night out in Helsinki again.

I did 130kg deadlift yesterday, I want to try and keep improving but motivation is hard.

There was good gym in the army but I couldn't do anything because I was in pain. It didn't affect walking so I could finish the service but it was a big restriction. It's mostly gone now (I can sometimes feel it) but I don't really want to go to the gym.

You're young. Take it from an old fuck, you'll be better off later. Funny you mentioned your service again. I followed that with some interest. Four years, United States Navy. I think you are the only person I've ever seen mention service on this forum in twelve years I've been here. I did laugh when you went home after a few weeks though. Must be nice I think everyone should serve their country in some way, even if it's some kind social service. So, well done.

You can get away with it if you have some medical condition but normally it's either some civil work or army service. I managed to get out of there with 6 months in army. But even though it's mandatory it wasn't that easy always. In one of our training I had to guard some place from 22:00 to 6:00 while it was -5c. Just sit there without doing anything else than going to a different place in the half way. When it turned 6am and it was my turn to go back to sleep we were "attacked" and we had to run away. It was 6 days training, every night minus celsius and we didn't have tents, only sleeping bags and whatever we found from the forest. I somehow got in one of hardest regiments though. None of my friends had to sleep without tents or crossing small rivers (swimming) while it was still really cold. I think I was actually in the last group that was trained for guerrila warfare.

I hate the fucking cold, and wet as well, fuck off. I was in the middle east. 120F some days. Didn't hate it. You will look back on that as a thing that made you what you will be become though. That will be worth more than you realize now. Bank on it. Some tough times but, I don't regret a thing. Lots of good times and memories as well. Peace bro.
