Let them solve it by themselves. “And so now I'd like to say - people can change anything they want to. And that means everything in the world. People are running about following their little tracks - I am one of them. But we've all got to stop just following our own little mouse trail. People can do anything - this is something that I'm beginning to learn. People are out there doing bad things to each other. That's because they've been dehumanised. It's time to take the humanity back into the centre of the ring and follow that for a time. Greed, it ain't going anywhere. They should have that in a big billboard across Times Square. Without people you're nothing. That's my spiel.” ― Joe Strummer Love 01:50 - 03:09.

I like to think i'm getting more mature as I get older, but sometimes I think i'm getting more childish.
Stay Young, eh?

matt, I know you're a fellow lover of 2001 so you might enjoy CinemaTyler's excellent series of videos explaining in detail how Kubrick made the film. This is the first part, talking about the Dawn of Man sequence: I don't seem to get notification when you tag me Escapist. But luckily I saw this, and it's a fascinating video. As a film, it is open to so many interpretations and nothing has ever fired off the imagination quite like it. Even though it was made in the late 60s, it still looks infinite times better than all the modern day CGI - a timeless piece of work, and the scale and spectacle of it will never be beaten.

What the fuck. My dreams are getting really weird. I almost forgot I saw a dream where I was in Nick McCabe's apartment with a bunch of other people. He had this acoustic guitar with built-in reverb (wtf). At first I didn't notice anything weird but when I started playing it I started wondering why I get lots of reverb. Then I looked at the guitar again and there was some strange thing that apparently made reverb Well, just before I went to sleep I looked at glider 's post about the Haigh Hall gig in the Verve topic and thought I need to watch it when I wake up. I guess that affected my dreams Oh and I saw a dream where I was in another dream. I knew it was a dream and it reminded me of Inception because I think I was there with some other people who knew they were dreaming as well. I even remember talking to them and discussing how this feels just as real as the real life.

Can’t wait to see Blade Runner 2049 next week! If anybody has seen Blade Runner, which version is the best to watch? It’s kind of confusing to navigate around all of the versions available

I can't listen to The Doors - The End without thinking about Apocalypse Now.
Has a song ever fitted a film so incredibly well?

First class of German went pretty well, no doubts at all. I did fuck up some times how to pronounce some words but it was more due to my language not having the habit of pronouncing some words in a very deep way. But after the third time i was saying it correctly.
Oh that and the fact one of the ways you can say what your name is is "mein Name ist" completely fucked my mind up, the tendency to say "my name is" was hard to let go off. But i eventually did.

Can’t wait to see Blade Runner 2049 next week! If anybody has seen Blade Runner, which version is the best to watch? It’s kind of confusing to navigate around all of the versions available Best version is The Final Cut. At least that's what a friend of mine told me after he showed me The Final Cut without telling me that it wasn't the version originally shown in theaters! He says that the original has unnecessary narration from Harrison Ford that hits you over the head and detracts from the film's air of mystery as well as a thematically inappropriate happy ending.

I think I gotta take one day free from work next weekend. Liam's album gets released on Friday and the next evening there will be an Oasis anniversary party in Helsinki. One cover band playing G-Mex setlist and second band playing what Liam's playing right now in his live shows. My mate also promised to sort me a place to sleep
