On Apple Music in the credits section it lists Callum Marinho as playing the piano and tuba. I am I missing something? I’m not hearing a tuba It's a typo. It's a tube. It was all over Council Skies. Callum played it on 6 tracks. I'm not sure exactly if I can describe it. But there definitely is no Tuba on it.

This is right up my alley. Prefer this to all of who built the mooon and half of council skies. Melancholic, acoustic Noel is tue best! In a little while, we'll be free... fucking chills

Nice, but wish the chorus was more developed and really took off at the end before the quiet ending.
Also, if history is any indication (as with We're Gonna Get There in the End), this New Year's tune will be re-released according to the following schedule:
1) NYE 2023 2) RSD 2024 3) New Album 24/25 bonus disc 4) Stand-alone, post-album "single" with a 7" mix

RSD release will prob be this track and Love Will Tear Us Apart. I meant does the flurry of releases this week make up for the lack of RSD / Magic Secrets recently? 2024 is shaping up to be a good year for Gallagher fans: - Liam & Squire album - Definitely Maybe reissue and tour - Noel RSD. Could be anything at this point: these demos, a covers EP, acoustic Oasis covers, the unreleased Pet Shop Boys remixes!? Possibly an Oasis one related to DM too. - Maybe even a Noel album later in the year if it is demoed to this quality already… (I can dream 😂) Yeah, I agree with you that this year is going to be a good year for us Gallagher fans. However, I'm not too sure that we'll get another Noel album this year though as we all know what Noel is like.

I got the feeling this was writen after Council Skies was finished. Really enjoying this one. For me it doesn't need to go bigger, I like it as it is. I agree, it's nice as it is. Love these little tunes that only Noel can write. And yeah, he can be seen playing a bit of it in Anais' 'Making of Council Skies' documentary that came with the digital Serenade edition of the album. So it's actually an outtake. Where are the missing 2 parts of the doc btw? Yeah, you're right, I forgot about it!

This one actually sounds like a proper demo, unlike the other demos he has released recently and sound finished already

Hmmmm, didn’t make it onto the album for a reason. I got the feeling this was writen after Council Skies was finished. Really enjoying this one. For me it doesn't need to go bigger, I like it as it is. Yup, he first mentioned this in the Jo Whiley interview in Feb 23, at the point when he said he was already working on his next album which would be acoustic. So this is definitely an early taster for the next album, similar to the Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone and We're Gonna Get There In The End demos, rather than a CS outtake. live4ever.proboards.com/thread/93936/album-5-hype-thread

It's a nice song and I wonder if he'll do a proper recording of it and either put it on his next album or put it out as a bonus track.

While I’d personally love it, it’s still very hard to believe Noel is going to come thru with a full acoustic-only album. My wild speculation is that he’s gonna just pick the 10 best songs for the next one (any style), and/or make the acoustic album an EP with 4-5 tunes, including this one.

I'm kind of glad the song didn't go anywhere bigger. Because a new beginning, especially following a lengthy marriage, tends to be delicate and should be approached with tenderness.

Have seen people say it's 'only b-side material' - like yes, it's just a demo he's thrown out without any promo, so unsure what people are expecting. It could probably be absolutely huge with full blown production but for what it is it works. Really nice melody, some really nice lyrics, but clearly a demo/bonus track. Bit Sail On-y merged with Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone. It’s just a Noel acoustic plod. Wasn’t expecting a classic but it’s Noel on autopilot. Don't really agree with it being a 'plod', tbh. The melody in the chorus just really hits and elevates it for me. I don't think it's a classic but it's still got that thing that makes your stomach twist a bit - which so many other songs (and some by Noel for sure) miss.

Tbh, I think that he can write 10 tunes like this every year and that they are easy to record and produce.
He will give most of his fans what they want and beside that he can record interesting albums and experiment if he wants and everyone will be happy.
And he doesn't need to worry anymore about being number 1 in charts, his last album was number 2 so that story is over.
