Not entirely sure if these are the "outtakes", but according to a post on twitter the outtakes have been on Vimeo for 2 months.

I've a sensitivity issue when it comes to my hearing and can't listen to Definitely Maybe through ear buds/AirPods. Do you have the same problem with that album? Not game to try this album, sticking to stereo and laptop speakers. This one is really really bad, on a DM level. But ive got the Apple music lossless atmos mix only so far (which are a bit hit or miss often). The one linked by Supersonic on youtube appear to damage the ear a bit less. Although ive not listened to it entirely, just compared a few excerpts so far. Yes, Definitely maybe is a real pain too, as is MG and BHN and the recent CS from NG. Although the last one a bit less. Hoping a for good remasters of the 3 first oasis albums, really. Its a well known phenomenom that compressed music is hurting your ear that's why im calling it a crime. I've been listening to the album FLAC version from Qobuz on my Cowon Plenue D2 with Sennheiser HD660s through the balanced connection and yeah, this album is incredibly loud. I have to set the volume to absolute minimum and still at times the treble is hurting my ears. I'll probably have to try to do a bit of EQing or just listen to the Atmos mix on my laptop, which sounds definitely better in this regard. Why exactly they do this compressed shit? Who or what exact listening device is benefiting from this. These guys who do those mastering things they probably get paid quite well and this is what they deliver? Now, onto the music itself. I'm really enjoying the album after two weeks of listening. It's just a very fun rock n roll record and not to be taken too seriously. Liam sounds incredibly good, the best he has sounded on his solo career so far in studio. They really got his voice right. I also really love John's guitar work and it doesn't go overboard in my opinion. This album is way better than the Seahorses album, which is a very hard listen to me. The highlights at the moment are I'm A Wheel, Mother Nature's Song, Just Another Rainbow, Love You Forever and Raise Your Hands. The only really weak song is Make It Up as You Go Along. Of course not every song is great, but it's a very solid and enjoyable listen throughout. How it will stand the test of time? We'll see. I hope we'll get another album someday. This is 8/10 to me easily.

I'm not an expert on this but to my understanding, its because it will sound "big" on crap speakers with the voice put forward. its gotten worse since the digital age and even worse with ipods, iphone and now streaming. So it will sound big and loud whatever device you use. And apparently, that's what 99% of people want : big and loud shit mixes. It doesnt make much difference on pop music where most instruments are not real. But with distorded guitars and drums... ouch. I doubt the engineer "wants" to master it like, he just has to because the label says so. I dont believe for a second a pro-engineer can be satisfied with the non Atmos mix (or event the Atmos mix). Compared to the work done recently with the beatles reissue, its a galaxy behind.

Looks like Liams lost some weight and I'm happy about it.

And we buy these expensive headphones and speakers basically for nothing. Of course not every album is this bad but the situation is very frustrating.

I found myself never listening to LG/JS on my Beyerdynamics headphones, and only using my cheap pc speakers. It's a shame it's been made so loud.

Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino by Arctic Monkeys is the last one that spring to mind with some of the bands i listen to. and that was in 2018.

Well the album played in Atmos mix mode + Airpod Max isnt so bad. but any other set up in a pain really. I consider buying speakers that play Lossless Atmos just because i cant really listen to some of the records i love because of that. Its a shame really. I used to have bower wilkins A5 speakers and it did a good job because it has a warm sound that hide the loudness, kinda. Unfortunately they died. But if you have money to buy some get it, they are cheap nowadays.

I havent bought the CD yet but maybe this source will be ok... There are very few legal outlets for downloading Atmos/spatial albums in general. I think Supersonic's downmixes came from Apple Music files, but I'm not aware of anywhere else you can get this album.

Was from Amazon music. I took the 5.1 files then downmixed to stereo.

Yeah its a format that's made to promote Lossless/ HIFI streaming services and (expensive) speakers made especially for it, so that's probably why its nowhere else to be found. Its sad in a way that listenable mixes are now only available for people who can pay more money for it.

I wouldn't mind paying again for downloadable FLAC.
