I'm looking forward to the Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary black vinyl with white writing on turquoise background!
It's going to be MEGA!

I'm not expecting much from the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe to be honest. I could be wrong but we'll see.

For some of the manicsâ recent reissues they âcorrectedâ the tracklists by replacing shitter album tracks with better b-sides.
SOTSOG is screaming for a similar retcon. And I hope they fix the logo while theyâre at it. The fan made version with the original logo is so, so much better.

Can you post it for the rest of us mossy? Also: Fuckin' in the Bushes Go Let It Out Where Did It All Go Wrong? Let's All Make Believe Carry Us All Gas Panic! Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is Who Feels Love? Roll It Over is a damn fine album. Wish I could get that on vinyl. Puts LAMB where it belongs...one of the finest Liam vocal performances deserves to be front and center on the alboom. Also the transitions from WDIAGW? to LAMB to Carry Us All to Gas Panic! to Put Yer...are *chefs kiss*. It's all about dat flow, don't ya know. Hire me Noel. Let's stop the dodgy tracklistings!

I actually think less of those albums with the retcon tracklist (Send Away The Tigers and This is my Truth), dunno feels wrong to me to change the tracklist after all those years. Underdogs isn't good, but they replaced it with a ballad and that puts me out of the listening experience. Nobody Loved You is one of the highlights of Truth and while I love Prologue it's not the same anymore. To me the definitive reissues are those Japanese ones done when Journal for Plague Lovers was the latest Manics album.

If you're gonna change the tracklist bung it out as Record Store Day version limited to a few thousand copies, apparently no one likes SOTSOG anyway and absolutely no way should the official SOTSOG track listing be changed.
Hoping for Familiar too millions on vinyl + CD with extra disc pulled from across the world tour & radio sessions Complete Barrowlands 2001 CD / BluRay / LP Finsbury Park 2002 CD & LP - unklikely any captures from the screens would be any good enough

The logo would be better above the word "Standing". Seek it out and ye shall find... five and a half years later: imgur.com/cLTrR95There's almost some symbolism to it, too, where the old Oasis is sort of going into a dark period and taking the audience with them, hence the placement of the logo where it is. I sort of like that Â

I can see them doing something for Don't Believe the Truth in 2025. It was the album that somewhat reignited Oasis within the youth at the time. We also got a treasure trove of unreleased material from 2004-2007.

I just canât see any commemoration of anything post-Masterplan. Thereâs just nothing of any worth there unfortunately, all money for old rope.

SOTSOG definitely needs a reissue with everything they can throw at it, but sadly I'm starting to lose hope for it to happen. Noel is busy and doesn't seem to care nor like the album at all.
Regarding the DBTT Death in Vegas demos, I don't think they'll ever be released. Unless they somehow get leaked, but what are the chances of that happening.

It was the last "Happy Time" for the band when you think of it. Vibes around the band were fantastic the entire year of 2005. Doesn't matter that the album was just as choppy as Heathen Chemistry, for whatever reason the press and fans dug the band during this window. Noel claims they had over 40 songs for this album in various states. We also know they had about 3-4 attempts at the album with the most famous being Death In Vegas. That would be the selling point for a reissue. Much like Be Here Now with the Mystique Tapes. I'd love to hear those sessions but I think I do believe Noel that they are a turd.

If weâre honest, the Mustique demos were only a selling point to people on this forum. Scroll right down to the bottom, theyâre some of Oasisâs least played songs: artists.spotify.com/songwriter/10SadQdMxCrS86elXSTp2KThe same will be true of the DIV and AA sessions. Your average casual fan couldnât care less. And thatâs why DM & MG will keep being reissued until the end of time, as frustrating as it is for us mad ferrits. That said, I do think all the 00s albums will get reissued eventually, you canât reissue DM every year and need to do something in the 5 year gaps between the DM reissues đ See Noelâs comments in a recent interview⊠âI wouldn't want to die and leave everything in a drawer, I would like even the songs that I think are less good to come out. Also I didn't like many of the tracks I released, but they found an audience that liked them."

Are you worried about the idea that when you are no longer here someone might open your drawers and your archives as it has happened in recent days with "Now and Then", the Beatles' unreleased song?«I wouldn't want to die and leave everything in a drawer, I would like even the songs that I think are less good to come out. Also because I didn't like many of the tracks I released, but they found an audience that liked them." I was referring to a selling point to Oasis fans in these types of communities. We keep getting beaten over the head with endless DM and MG stuff which I get. I've dreamed for over a decade now some sort of Anthology/Rarities album from Oasis. Lords knows they got material for ir.

Yeah, an anthology is the dreamâŠ
