Ayyeee this site's so good. Always check back now and again for an update. The knowledge on the black 355's sticker is wild !! Yeah that Trini is definitely Andy's, although it seems Andy's now put a Bigsby on it (or just got another one) Also a funny addition would be that little mini acoustic with the Union Jack that they carried around on tour in 1998. I think a fan gave it to Noel in Japan. That security guard who was with them in the 1990s has posted so many pics of it on his instagram ... I think it's a Yamaha? This guy! Also you've probs seen this before but here's Jason setting up Noel's guitars in 1997, showing the white Rick, red Sheraton, black LP, and 335 #2

I've got more stuff and articles in the works but time is running too fast and I haven't got enough free time at the moment. Something will come for sure in the next few weeks though! I had seen that picture of Jason Rhodes but somehow I hadn't saved it. It also shows the red '60s Epiphone Sheraton that Noel bought in October '97 - he never played it but it's one of Gem's main guitars in HFB right now!

Always fun to see when you've added stuff. The page for the #1 is gonna be huge lmao

UPDATE - New pagesEpiphone Supernova (Man City Blue):the background history of Noel’s signature guitar, released in 1997: from the first prototype (which was a modified Gibson ES-345) to the production version. Noel actually played a couple of prototypes during the Be Here Now recording sessions. I love the Supernova and I’ve been researching info & details about the different versions for years: an in-depth analysis of the model is coming as soon as I’ll have time. Fender Telecaster (Pink Paisley):an iconic guitar from the Standing on the Shoulder of Giants era, played live for Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, etc. Writing this piece made me want one! I’ll try to stay away from guitar marketplaces for a bit. and also...
Epiphone Sheraton (Cherry, ’60s): updated with a quote from a recent interview with Gem Archer and a photo showing that it was used as a backup live guitar in 1997 and 1998 (thanks to sebi.white!) Minor updates to the Mapleglo Rickenbacker and the Custom Telecaster pages.

Duuuuude. Great stuff and immense research with the Supernova.
Here's a fun tele thing too — Noel and Gem playing them at the same time, during GGTIA in Buenos Aires in 2006.
(sorry, it won't post it at the right time, but 1:15:31)

I wonder why the current owner is selling it... He had just bought it a couple of months ago

You mean the ex-Marr one? It's the same guitar, Noel messed with the pickups and the plastic pieces. All explained in its dedicated page, confirmed by both Noel and Johnny

UPDATE - New pageGibson Les Paul (’53 converted to ’58-’60 ‘burst’ specs):Noel’s most famous Les Paul, the main guitar during the Definitely Maybe era. Everyone knows how it was given to him by Johnny Marr, and how it was smashed on a guy’s head in Newcastle! An iconic guitar with a lot of background history – and a website page that was long in the making! and also...A small update to the recently created Epiphone Supernova page: prototype #1 was spotted for sale by Manualex a few days ago for £30k. The ad has since disappeared... has it been sold? A couple of new pics from the ad too. Minor updates to the Gibson Firebird page, with details about the model year and its appearance during the WTSMG recording sessions.

Quite a few things in this list that seem like a shame to be selling. Jason's repair cabinet seems like a bit of a sad thing to sell, like it might come out of retirement some day. Ah well!

carlober is this information of any use This comes from an MSN Webchat with Noel in April 2000. MSNLive: What guitars have you got with ypu on the tour which is your favourite? Noel: I have really been enjoying lately playing a 1980 pink fender Tellicaster guitar with Seymore Duncan antique pickups. I also have a 1980 Rickenbecker, although I don't know the serial number. I got it from a shop that Gem used to work at and recommend to me. And I also have a brand new Gibson les Paul, it's a 1959 reissue that looks like an antique. But my favorite is the fender Tellicaster. oasisinterviews.blogspot.com/2000/04/?m=0

The 1959 reissue Les Paul is one of these... He got a couple of them. The Rickenbacker is probably the Mapleglo - I thought it was a '90s model but I stand corrected!

carlober have you seen this? Proud Mary playing on the Ralph Little Show, BBC Choice. I think the guitarist is Paul Newsome. It looks like Noel has lent him his Epiphone Riviera Matsumoku guitar. You can see the little Man City sticker on the pick guard. I can be seen at 0:50

Gibson are releasing an uber-limited edition (20 pieces only!) of Noel's famous black Les Paul Custom, the second one that Johnny Marr gave him. All profit from the sales will go to support Teenage Cancer Trust... but I bet it will be £10k or more...! It's a perfect replica of the guitar before Noel messed with it in the late '90s! It even has the coil tap switch between the knobs. The only thing it's missing is the oasis sticker on the pickguard
