I find a lot of the studio versions too slow, especially compared to more modern live versions (I’m thinking C&A and Some Might Say in particular). Acquiesce just feels too slow in the studio (and maybe live before 2001/2) Some songs which are much better on the studio recording: DYKWIM, Born on a Different Cloud, To Be Where There’s Life, (maybe)Hindu Times. (maybe) Go Let it Out You think To Be Where There's Life sounds better in the studio??

The only thing that lets them down is Liam’s vocals. Different strokes I guess. I also disagree with Hindu Times, go listen to the European awards version; the vocal is better than the studio take.

Depends on whether you mean while you're at the gig live or listening to a live version. At the gig they all sound better live and from pretty much every era. It's just a better experience hearing them live in person when compared to the studio version in earphones or out of a speaker.
If we're talking the live versions of the songs you listen to on a device, possible hot take here but Live Forever. I just prefer the tone Liam uses and the way he sings the chorus (or technically bridge, whatever) and it just has a vibe to it that doesn't get recreated live.

Champagne Supernova. I love the dreamy, floaty feeling of the studio recording, and they always seemed to play it so fast live.

Here’s a rare one, but You’ve Got the Heart of a Star, played only once I believe in Japan, is fantastic live in that recording. Just Noel and his acoustic. Same gig he did Bittersweet Symphony.
The recorded version of Heart of a Star is too “peppy” IMO.

Live Forever.
I mean, it's hard to top perfection to start with, but for me I don't think they've ever quite nailed it live. They've played it a few different ways over the years and it has always lacked something for me. The heavier versions lack the intricacies of the studio version and the more stripped back, acoustic version they've played on occasion, and that Noel and Liam have played recently, are a little bit dull. It's great, but it doesn't hit the mark as much as the studio version.

I generally just prefer listening to oasis live, but I haven’t ever thought about how studio version captured something different and special until now, and I do agree. Controversially, I think my favourite Live Forever live from Liam is the Chris Martin one at one love. His vocals tear through the air

I’d probably say Hey Now.
