Loved it. With that and Kingston it’s been a great week for NG interviews!

Interesting to see him saying he thought Take Me was a great song and he was always telling them to record it properly.
I personally never liked it too much but it would've been cool to hear what they could've done with it a couple of years down the line with a bit more experience behind then.
Anyway, it was a pretty good interview. Generally I avoid content from the guitar world, even though I play but I'm not that interested in a lot of YouTube guitar content, like millionth variation of a TubeScreamer with some knob playing blues licks.... but I actually like when they sit down with actual musicians like this or Noel on That Pedal Show, it seems like they can get into more interesting music stuff rather than tabloid like content.

They certainly should have recorded Take Me properly!

I know he has a reputation for being extremely arrogant and he never really did anything to change that, but these kind of interviews show a side of him that people just don't see, or refuse to do so He certainly had (and has) enough self-belief to put himself out there and push, and he's been bragging about his music and saying outrageous stuff in the press for 30 years, but there's much more to him than that You can see he's very self-aware and sometimes you'd even say honest to a fault, and I'd say there's even a hint of self-consciousness I know people always point at him bame-dropping and embellishing stories and all that, but you also see how sincere and excited he is in his admiration for certain figures and how pure his love for music is He can be hard on himself, but he's also at peace with how things panned out and the idea that his best days are behind him but they happened and that's all that matters He knows his strenghts and played to them brilliantly, but he also ain't looking to hide his weaknesses And while I get the feeling sometimes the criticism he got (the lyrics, the plagiarism, just them being simpletons that make simple music) bugged him and maybe even made him question himself at times, he's proud of achieving what he did starting from where he did, and he knows that's special Absolutely! Noel's always played the media so they talk about him and Oasis at the time. He's never been shy about doing it either. Even in this interview he says that he doesn't care how we remember him as long as we remember him which reminds me of when he used to say he doesn't care what they write about Oasis as long as they're on the cover. It's always hard to determine when he's being genuine but I feel like we see him more as he is in these types of interviews or whatever they're called. Some of the YouTube comments are annoying me. You can tell the Gibson old timers and “shredders” don’t think he belongs as an Icon. Shred away into obscurity, ya losers. No one cares about your dumb “licks”. Write a simple song that moves millions and we’ll talk. I hate shredding. It's such a useless thing, to me any way. It's like being talented in eating grass. Sure you can do it and do it well, but that doesn't mean it needs to be done. I'm not impressed by the speed and it always sounds like shit. To me it's like those twats who modify their car exhausts so they make a lot of noise and who will then floor it so we all hear their oh so masculine and absolutely not overcompensating car noises... I mean growl...

Really enjoyed listening to that. Didn't know much about the Jonny Marr bit, a good story and nice to get some more detail on it. I knew Noel had given him a demo, but didn't know they drove to a guitar shop and they ended up having a party at his house 😅

Great little documentary. I had been putting off watching it because I assumed it would be very guitar heavy but I finally watched it last night and it was brilliant.
It's a shame the chronological album discussion ended after SOTSOG but some interesting insights.
Roll on the BHN tour film! Maybe 2027?

I watched it last night too for the first time after putting it off practically forever, obviously I'd love to be wrong but am I the only one who thought he was talking hypothetically when he mentioned the idea of a BHN film? It seemed like he was just assuming it'll be made at some point, not that there's anything in the works at the moment
