Bewick swans are now in serious decline and their numbers have fallen so much. This is not good news whatsoever.

Tomorrow is world hippo day. Sadly they're another animal which is being poached for their teeth. It just makes me angry it really does.

What do you think of Sea World, tiger40 ? Would you ever go? Seaworld and all marine parks are absolutely disgusting and cruel and I would never go to any of them whatsoever. Orcas and other dolphins belong in the wild and not in tanks. The problem is though these people who run these parks don't care as all they care about is the money they make off them. So as long as they keep profiting the welfare of these animals come second. |

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that a zoo director had four animals killed and served up at a Christmas dinner. Bastard, yet another reason why animals should never be in zoos.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that U.S Fish And Wildlife Service are looking into removing grizzlies from the Endangered Species list in two states.
Idiots and it'll cause even more hunting and poaching.

I read on Focusing On Wildlife that pesticide use maybe contributing to lower songbird populations across the world. This could be true as we know that they kill insects.

I also read that Ebay and Etsy are both selling dead bats and scientists are concerned. Something needs to be done about this.

In todays paper there's an article about why zebras have stipes as scientists have been studying this and they believe they're one step closer to understanding why. It's because their stipes keep insects from biting them.
I love zebras and they're another one of my favourites.
