Anyone else always enthusiastically announce their cat’s name when he enters the room? Everytime. Ollie! Vander! Sammie! I love cats.

Those feral pigeons can be really tame as some of them never fly off when you're right near them.

Fewer wild birds are visiting UK gardens, with greenfinches, starlings and sparrows seeing the biggest decline, according to the RSPB. Mind you, all three of those species are now in rapid decline and red listed. However, good news for woodpeckers, goldfinishes and parakeets who are all thriving.

Through out every year there's always world animal day for different species. I wonder which animal will be the Chinese year one this year.

Today is national hedgehog day in the UK and also national wetlands day. Hedgehogs are of course sadly in rapid decline and on the red list now.

This deer virus dubbed zombie deer virus which is spreading fast in deer in America is worrying. The problem is there's they don't have any vaccine for deer to help stop it from spreading.

Some good news, the trophy hunting import ban is going back to Parliament next month. This time the ban has got to become law it was only because of a few bloody selfish lords who blocked it last time that it didn't pass.

I saw a few lovely blue tits and long tailed tits this morning outside my kitchen window. They're so pretty and small I bet that they would fit into the palm of my hand.

What do you think of circus animals, tiger40?

What do you think of circus animals, tiger40 ? The poor creatures shouldn't even be used in a circus at all there's no need to use them. Using wild animals in circuses has been banned in the UK for a while now but domestic animals need banning too as they still go through the same cruelty and I can't understand why the use of them wasn't banned when wild animals were.

Something I forgot to mention is that the live animal export ban is going through the lords now so let's hope that it passes and becomes law.

Great news a vile trophy hunting firm has shut down. The British firm which sold vile holidays to slaughter endangered rhinos and other animals has closed down after its owner was exposed in an investigation of prolific hunters. It's the best news I've heard in a while and it's a win for animals.

This is brilliant news, the brutal donkey skin trade has been banned across Africa. It'll make it illegal to slaughter donkeys for their skin across the continent. It's a great win for donkeys and it's about time that it was banned as it's disgusting.

I saw three lovely squrrels this morning that's the most I've seen where I usually see any. If I see more than one it's usually two. I love them and their bushy tails.

Scientists have worked out how some large whales in the ocean produce their haunting and complex songs. It's all to do with a specialist voice box which enables them to sing under water.
