I'm no fan of Cher, however, I like her work she does to help save animals. In today's paper there's a little bit about her rescuing an elephant from a zoo in Russia in the middle of the war. She's also managed to rescue other animals from a zoo in Russia before the war started but the elephant got left behind until recently. She's now fighting for the release of another elephant in a zoo in America, I hope that she wins eventually.

Water voles which have sadly been on the red list for a long time because of their rapid decline are being brought back to the Lake District as more than 200 captive-bred water voles have been released in a secret location in an attempt to create a thriving population. Let's hope it works.

I saw a lovely squirrel outside my kitchen window at tea time. It jumped off one of the neighbours roof. I don't know where it went after that though.

Some sad news Lolita the orca who spent a miserable 53 years in a vile tank has died. She was due to be released and sent to a sanctuary later this year to live out the rest of her life in peace.

I see that stupid bitch who kept kicking and hitting her poor horse (and is a fox hunter), trial starts tomorrow. Let's hope that she gets a good sentence and not some petty one. She can't deny it as it's all on video which thousands saw on social media two years ago after it happened. But it'll be interesting to see how she does in court.

This is not good, Kordofan giraffes face local extinction in 15 years if poaching continues. Something needs to be done to save these beautiful creatures.

A very brave leopard thought it was a good idea to hunt a troop of 50 baboons in the middle of the road in South Africa. But the baboons beat him up in a major attack. Luckily the leopard managed to escape but he had a few cuts and bruses.
Let's hope next time he'll think twice before he tries that again.

A dominant polar bear decided to take on a huge herd of 100+ walures. He managed to catch one under water but not for long as the slippery customer was far too slippery for him to hold on to.
