It would be really easy for Noel to have 2 or 3 acoustic Oasis songs to mix up every few gigs:
Married with Children Take Me Away It's Better People Hello Cast No Shadow Stand by Me Don't Go Away Angel Child
Songs he used to do: Supersonic Spaceman Sad Song Talk Tonight Half the World Away Whatever

To add to this, if the internet didn't exist, no one would realize or care that the setlist is always the same. It's a good point and one I'm torn on myself. I think we have to acknowledge we're in a minority on this forum even considering going to multiple gigs per tour. It's actually the same thing as frequent flyer forums (yeh I'm a plane geek as well as an Oasis geek) where they all complain about stuff the everyday flyer just doesn't care about. I would like Noel to mix up his set list and I'd go to more gigs. But I also know Oasis never mixed up their set list even 3-4-5 albums in. It's just not what they did. Ever. Maybe it's because Noel is a perfectionist, which would be an even bigger problem now he plays with a touring band. Even in Oasis they wouldn't just randomly bust out Listen Up so it's not going to happen now. Of course Noel could if he wanted, the rest of the band couldn't. Which suggests there's a decision made in rehearsals to rehearse a certain number of songs. To be fair it would be a lot more work if you want to get a band of his size ready to play any of 40 songs on a given night, especially as we don't know how long he gets with them before each tour. Because if you might play a song once in 2 months time just to mix things up, you actually have to rehearse it even better so your band somehow remember it 2 months down the line. I do think Noel should have thrown in some DM tunes for the anniversary but I guess he has his reasons. He might just think people go to Liam for that. I agree with all of this. It must be even harder now to change the setlist though because they're not a band anymore. Which means he has to pay for nearly 10 other people to learn and practice new songs. But he could easily throw in an acoustic number here and there. I've seen someone around here say they'd love him to bring back Supersonic acoustic. For the 30th anniversary that would have been cool. It was fun for everyone when he was expericencing with old and obscure tunes around 2011-2012.

He already has Dead in the Water and If I Had A Gun as slower numbers. Easy Now was on there until recently as well and We're On Our Way Now. An acoustic number would slow things right down even more and the gig would just lack a ton of energy. He's already in danger of that now imo, reckon there'd be a mass drinks/toilet break if he broke out an acoustic. If he was gonna change it up, it has to be up tempo number. No idea why he dropped Lock All The Doors it went over very well.

Couldn't he just play "A dream is all I need to get by" or "Sail on" at least once ?

I'm going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there. Yeah. Uh, he's been real flaky lately and I'm not sure that he's the caliber person you want for set changes. He's been having some problems with his TPS reports. God bless.

I can't 3ffin wait for seeing the chief at Kendal calling. Not seen any of the new alboom live so hopefully at least 4 new things, although the rest may be a bit stale. I don't think I've heard him do stand by me so that would be nice. I've said before but he needs to get she's electric back in the set for shits and giggles. Massive tune amongst the casuals and don't think I've seen it live since Finsbury park in '02... Oh well liam will do it next year (fingers crossed)

He’s also done Idler’s Dream, which wouldn’t work on a big stage. Part of the Queue on the other hand… I think his current band could pull that off all right.

So people are complaining about other people complaining about Noel's setlists?
Sorry, but as someone said before this is a thread about his live concerts in a fan forum, people are going to have different opinions and they are entitled it no mather if they're going or not to the gigs. And changing the setlist is not too much ask considering he's done it several times over the last tours. I mean I loved checking his set gig by gig during the NGHFB and CY tour. What a thrill it was to hear he played Idler's Dream for the first time, Listen Up with his full band or even Alone On The Rope in the WBTM tour. I wasen't there in any of those gigs but it was great to hear it for the first time each of those.
So it's not like his band can't rehearse new songs or anything, they've done it a million times. Noel's just being lazy, or lazier than we're used to.

So people are complaining about other people complaining about Noel's setlists? So now you're complaining about people complaining about other people complaining about Noel's setlists. I mean we can do this all day. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, of course they are, and a forum is exactly what it says on the tin - a forum for voicing those opinions. My main point was: why all the negativity? People weren't just voicing opinions, they were moaning on and complaining about stuff that didn't even affect them, just for the sake of moaning. Why complain about an event that you weren't even at? Surely if you didn't attend an event, looked at the setlist and didn't like it, that is a good thing? I should add that nearly all of the feedback I've read from people who actually attended had a great time and nobody in attendance was nit picking about his choice of setlist.

Nothing is stopping Noel from doing this at every gig, and then a full song. If only, just one 'random' acoustic Oasis song. 3/4 minutes, could be every song from the catalogue. Not the regular war horses, but songs like Take Me Away, Angel Child, I'd Pick You Everytime or even Heroes, I don't care

Easy answer, we're in the 21st century, it's been a long time since all of us fans can enjoy a concert from afar. As I've said, I've been following the Gallagher's setlists for more than 20 years now and have multiple bootlegs and I remember every time a tune was first played. So I don't think people who don't attend to gigs shouldn't have an opinion on them. I've been to many gigs but some fans had rare opportunities, maybe zero, all they're still following the band gig after gig. And yes, seeing it live it will always be a good time cos we're all Noel fans, but the fact that his setlists sucks and are possibly worst than ever is a valid point and opinion for any fan who follows the band.
