Looking forward to the big event on Sunday nonetheless, everyone's been waiting for it. Can't beat the UK snooker championship final. Ronnie getting pumped. Looks like he can't be bothered. At least a few times each season, Ronnie plays like his mate has just introduced him to snooker and he thinks it's shit, but he'll stick around and whack a few random shots out of politeness. |

Just been watching that, should be a shock but strangely isn't when Ronnie's in that mood. Two dodgy first frames that Ding crept over the line to win, then Ronnie gave up. Although Ding just went from strength to strength and ended superbly, here's hoping he wins it. |

He reeks of being the bullied teacher's-creep who shines his shoes and snitches on mates to earn a prefect title which means the big boys can't laugh at him without detention. That's Murphy, sat with Hendry in the punditry box: he's toadied his way to the Big Boy table, and now the hordes of Genghis Khan couldn't prise him away. Everything he does, every "classy gesture", "jovial moment", "warrior-like fist-pump", "outrageous outfit", is all a practiced, politician-like personal-PR that you know he rehearses each night in the Travelodge. All with the same cloying message underneath: Like me. Please, like me. That smug insecurity which, as matt says, is full James Corden. You know he seethes at how Ronnie became so popular by breaking rules, being a twat, being himself. Plus, he's the kind of man who insists on being called "a class act, on and off the baize", when the reality is that he's the type to cheat on his wife with hookers and tantrum when an amateur beats him at an event. Watched the first half of Qatar-Ecuador
Qatar is shit, Ecuador is smothering them, Valencia would've had a hat trick in the first half if the new goal line tech didn't exist.
Turned it off after the half ended. 2-0 currently. Qatar's team doesn't belong in the World Cup, the country shouldn't be hosting a world cup, and that's all I got to say about that.

6mio people watched the game yesterday here in Germany. In comparison: Almost 16mio watched the opening game between Brazil and Croatia in 2014
Will be interesting to see how many people will watch the game against Spain on Sunday. That’s a Primetime game.
