It must have been the 22nd, which was a Wednesday. The 25th was a Saturday and I do vividly remember listening to the gig live on the radio and worrying about having to get up early for school the next day. Seriously, haha!

In a strange way, I think it's safe to assume that the inlay of the bootleg "Behind Closed Doors" gives us a good idea of the tour that was supposed to happen before things changed. For instance, the Milwaukee show is shown as the 29th of February, the original date before being moved to the 1st of March. It seems like this was before another date was added to the Cardiff gig. Bordeaux on April 4th is also on the inlay, which was supposed to happen but never did. It also has the location of the Phoenix-area show on April 16th before it was cancelled because Noel was suffering from the flu. Mesa Amphitheatre doesn't seem far-fetched when you look at the previous date, the Universal Amphitheatre, and the other theatres they were playing on that leg of the USA tour.

After reading some bits and pieces from Ken West's Big Day Out book (and some quick informative bits from an interview for the new New Zealand 1998 tour book), Oasis were indeed confirmed for Big Day Out in 1995, which the bill was first announced on ~October 28th. This is just before Liams problems with his voice that would occur in November and December of '94.
According to Ken West, Oasis canceled at the last moment, and were replaced by The Screaming Trees (I'm sure these two bands will never come up together in the future).
An entire Australian and Japanese tour completely wiped off the map to be rescheduled a few times... which was replaced by a longer USA tour.
So, if we put the pieces together, the first three months for Oasis would've looked like this: Big Day Out: January 20th - February 5th Japanese Tour: February 9th - February 20th Break for the BRIT Awards USA tour: March 3rd - March 25th

Huge one, thanks to dlgng22 for finding this via The Wayback Machine! Hearing the up-coming trucker strike in late November of 2002, Oasis canceled their date in Nancy at Le Zénith which was originally planned for 11/26/2002. One bit from one of the articles states that this time was used to to shoot the Songbird video. I have no knowledge if that is true, and I know for sure there are people who know, so please let me know if that bit of information is incorrect. Here's a link: web.archive.org/web/20021203002436/http://www.oasisfr.com:80/news.php?categorie=MusiqueDec03 2002 for the snapshot.

The Songbird video was filmed in London on December 7, 2002. My guess is that was always scheduled and was probably thrown in to that article to make people feel better about the cancellation.

The Europe 2000 Tour Itinerary definitely shows March 22nd as the original date: ibb.co/JjYSC3K...but there are some press and fan reviews around the time which confirm March 25th: CDNow.com
Former Ride Members To Join Oasis In Germany March 20, 2000, 9:40 am PT
Ride Big things could happen at the Oasis gig in Koln, Germany on March 25, as new bassist Andy Bell will cross paths with two of his former Ride compadres when the Animal House supports Oasis at the gig. The Animal House was formed in 1999 by former Ride singer/guitarist Mark Gardener and drummer Loz Colbert. The band's debut EP, Animal, was released in the U.K. in January and they're currently eyeing a June release for their full-length debut. The members of Oasis and Ride first played together as far back as December 1994, when both artists were signed to Creation Records. -- Kevin Raub
...and: www.nowaysis.de Köln 25.03.00: Okay...this is a bit cut, cause i can't write so much in english, u know? :o) Special Guest haven been "The Animal House" who began at 7 o'clock. Good musicians, but not so impressive songs i think. They played 40 minutes and at 8 o'clock Oasis came on stage. It was a small Club-gig with only 2000 persons. Great! Oasis had the chance to play for more people, but they wanted the club-atmosphere. And so it was: the crowd gone crazy...the whole show! I was on top and could see the whole stage with no problem. Sound was so great, and loud at this small room, it was so great! First the setlist:
01. Fuckin' In The Bushes 02. Go Let It Out 03. Who Feels Love? 04. Supersonic 05. Shakermaker 06. Acquiesce 07. Gas Panic! 08. Sunday Morning Call 09. Roll With It 10. Stand By Me 11.Wonderwall 12. Cigarettes And Alcohol/ Whole Lotta Love 13. Don't Look Back In Anger 14. Live Forever
ENCORE 15. Helter Skelter 16. Rock 'n' Roll Star
Who thought that Oasis would lose energie at this tour was not right: The Pop from the BE HERE NOW- Tour changed to real ROCK 'N' ROLL! It was crazy what Oasis done with the E-Werk this evening...it was so total rock! My favourite this night? "Helter Skelter" sung by Noel...its awesome!

They did record some bits here and there for TV (though Brussels was recorded for MTV) and obviously it was on radio. Good find, I'll put it on the ever-growing list

Circling back on this Dayton date in 1996. Apparently in the early itinerary announcements for the autumn tour, this was the itinerary reported by John Sakamoto from the Canadian magazine, Jam!
Aug. 27, Rosemont, Illinois Aug. 28, Dayton, Ohio Aug. 30, Auburn Hills, Mich. Aug. 31, Toronto, Molson Amphitheatre Sept. 2, Philadelphia Sept. 6, Worcester, Mass. Sept. 7-8, Wantagh, NY Sept. 10, Bristow, Va. Sept. 11, Charlotte, N.C. Sept. 13, Atlanta Sept. 15, West Palm Beach, Fl. Sept. 16, Orlando, Fl. Sept. 18, Tampa, Fl.
More specifically, Hara Arena in Dayton, which has a capacity of 5,000.
Apparently according to a user on those old google chat rooms, the Alternative Press reported that the show was canceled two weeks prior to the tour happening (no one ever replied to his question about posting said article). Can't seem to locate that article yet, but plenty of users (though there was one very outspoken use) did say that Oasis did cancel a show in Dayton.
From what I've dug through, The Screaming Trees also never played at the Hara Arena in Dayton in 1996 as well, but did play a small show at Tink's Entertainment Complex in Scranton, Pennsylvania on September 3rd, while Oasis were off rehearsing for their MTV performance.
One user noted that it was no surprise that they canceled in Dayton. The Hara was barely afloat (The Wiki does state a 20 year estate battle, which began in, surprise, surprise, 1996) and was in pretty bad shape.
The date itself is odd, but my bet would be they just canceled it because of poor sales (in hindsight, canceling the Dayton show actually softened the blow of Liam skipping out of Rosemont. Instead of two shows to worry about, it was only one).

So, here is an interesting one. Below is the music page from the Manchester Evening News on Friday 9th August 1991, 5 days before Oasis' reported first gig, on Wednesday 14th. And there, on the Wednesday listings, is Oasis, supporting The Catchman and Sweet Jesus. But who's that on the listings for 'Today' (Friday 9th). Oasis? So, one of three scenarios: 1) This was Oasis' first gig 2) Oasis cancelled this and played, as scheduled, on the 14th 3) It's a misprint by the paper.

Personally I think this is Oasis's first prominently advertised gig. It's certainly the first time Oasis featured in the Manchester Evening News (though a few pre-Liam Rain gigs did feature) as I've checked through them all for that year. There's nothing to say Oasis couldn't have played a few gigs before this though (in fact I think they did). Liam must've been part of the lineup for at least a short period of time as Penny notes they've sent in a demo tape (so as to be name checked in the Gig Guide) and as we know Liam and Bonehead co-wrote the band's earliest known demos. I know a pre-Noel Oasis played on more than one occasion at The Grove Club in Longsight.

Originally I simply used it for family history research but I figured it could be useful researching Oasis too. You can search it for free but to view the scans you got to subscribe. A very useful source of information for me.

Finally got around to adding the Auckland gig that was initially set for March 11th, 1998, but of all things, the international flight schedule caused them to move their gig to the 9th.

An awesome find on this Sunday, a gig advertisement for gigs at the Liberty Lunch in Austin, Texas in October of 1994... And look who is scheduled for October 8th Totally explains why they recorded in Austin at the Congress House Studio on that day -- their gear was already in Austin waiting for Noel to rejoin! Great Find! Thanks for this bit of info. I have a tape of these sessions that Noel sent to McGee. Was trying to figure out what date those were recorded. I thought it was around Oct 8, but didn't know it was that day. Cheers!

While I had these dates correct initially via the internet, it's very nice to have a poster that confirms those dates as well. This is a poster for Acetone touring with Oasis in October of 1995 when Scott McLeod was still in the band. Everything post the Pittsburgh date was cancelled.

I stumbled upon an interesting photo. It's a photo of Noel Gallagher playing an acoustic guitar, solo, in an open location. The only other time I've seen Noel wear that exact coat in another time in 1996 in Munich. My initial thought, is that this photo was taken during Noels performance at the Great Gorge Ski resort in Vernon Valley, New Jersey, on March 9th, 1996. Story goes is that Oasis were billed for this event (make matters ironic, this event was called SNOasis), which quickly changed to Noel Gallagher of Oasis. Noel played two songs, complained it was cold, then left. They would play in Philadelphia (Upper Darby to be more specific) the same day. So I did some more digging. The event was hosted by Z-100, and it was broadcasted apparently. The two songs that Noel played were Whatever and Wonderwall. According to one person, a DJ announced that Noel was coming in via a helicopter. The same person also noted "Then we saw him with his sunglasses in his jacked with a fur-lined hood..." It's noted that Noel is already irked, probably from the cold. The review continues: Wonderwall was played, then Whatever. Noel talks to a technician or two, then leaves. One DJ thanks Noel, despite then calling him a prick. Other reviews of the gig also note that Wonderwall was played second. Noel then said he was done, then left. Crowd got angry and what do you do when you're angry and have an abundance of snow? You pelt the guy with snowballs. One review stated that it was 15 degrees Fahrenheit (-9.4 C), not including windchill, but says Noel opened with Wonderwall. So, based on that first review, Im going to confidently say that this photo is Noel from the SNOasis event on March 9th before leaving to play in Philadelphia. Im still not sure on the order of the setlist, but Wonderwall and Whatever are the confirmed two songs. Also, great shot of the guitar, hope it gets used for a guitar website

I dont think Ive posted this here, but I feel like Ive seen it before. Small interview and piece about Guigsy returning to the band from the NME. Guigsy was back in the band by at least October 26th. Article also mentions that Paris, Hamburg, Cologne and Stockholm are being moved around to combat all the confusion caused by Guigsy and Scott McLeod leaving, which was on the 17th of October in Buffalo, New York. Very similar to the Charlotte situation. Seems that there was an entire European tour scheduled just after the original UK dates (more than I realized), which would've led into the the US dates in October, a small break, then the Earls Court dates.

Oh boy... That reads January 22nd, 1995 This is a ticket from the actual date First ticket at the bottom right reads 11 DEC 4 (Assuming it means 11 December 1994. Was it bought that day? Not too familiar with ticket stubs). Second is 9 Jan 5 (assuming this means 9 January 1995). This reminds of another article found from an auction archive site: The concert contract + rider from the Dallas show in 1995. Interesting thing is that the engagement date is labeled January 13th, 1995. No clue if that was sign date or there was this weird tour in early January after Japan and Big Day Out fell through, definitely need to try and find more.
