Hi
anyone here going to the auckland show? with the covid situation and liam cancelling the show leading up to this i felt like we may get bad news but it seems all is well.
Does anyone know the tracklist of the songs played during change over/before he comes on? i heard some clips online and it sounds like it may be the same songs before coming on (classic stuff, stones roses right before FITB)
Anyway i wish anyone going a good time and it will be my first gig since seeing him last time (dec 20, 2019)

Yeah pretty much, i will prob be hanging back up in the seats somewhere because it is much more comfortable for me ( have some leg issues) but i remember from last time the floor is where to be for the atmosphere so i am sure you will have a good one down there. Last time i was impressed so i am hoping he pulls it off to the same degree this time.

I will be there too! I was worried about him cancelling but there's evidence he's on the way to NZ (if he's not already here), so fuckin pumped

Thanks for posting. I didn't even know he was playing Australia and New Zealand. Haven't seen one promotion for it nor got a single email.
Probably too late for me to arrange tickets now anyway.

Looks like there are still tickets available - hardly surprising given it’s a 12,000 capacity stadium. Does Liam have that many fans in NZ?

I think the upper bowl will be closed off like last time so i guess it hold 5k approx, atmosphere will be good i am sure. the arena is decent though so it is good he plays a place like this. I think Oasis proper would do decent numbers here if it was to ever happen ( no chance i know haha)

The whole band has been here a few days going by their various instagrams, so no doubt it’s going ahead!
I just landed in Auckland from Wellington … can’t wait! I was on the floor last time but think I’ll stick to the seats and keep my mask on this time haha

Oasis would easily sell out Mount Smart and Western Springs
The thing with the liam gig not being sold out is
When it was announced - we were still in the red level setting
And you’re right it hasn’t been promoted except Facebook
And the Gallagher’s do have ( contrary to what I said ) a lot of underlying hate for what happened in 1998 when Oasis played — Also their perceived attitudes being rude / arrogant and Beatle copy cats — that seemed to stick for a lot of casual members of the public
Oasis have no where near the audience of a Red hot chilli peppers
Yet I know if oasis announced a tour Tommorow the morning glory album alone would be enough to sell 40000 tickets
That’s my thoughts on Oasis in 2022 New Zealand editon lol

Tickets available but too late for me to arrange the evening off. Pretty poor marketing when Liam is playing one single concert in Melbourne, there's stills seats available a week beforehand and his fans weren't even aware the concert was on.

I think Oasis proper would do decent numbers here if it was to ever happen ( no chance i know haha) They also brought the stage forward from where it usually is last time he played as well, so a lot less floor room than usual. Actually made it a pretty awesome intimate gig though. Weird that he doesn’t get a larger crowd, I saw Incubus at the same venue a few years ago and they got loads more (although upper bowl was still closed). Would have thought he’d be a bit more relevant these days.

Yeah hopefully this time matches last, i know i held off buying tickets awhile due to covid so will be interesting to see what turnout is like but as long as he is up for it then it should be sweet. Any ideas who the support act is? they're on at 7:45pm supposedly

No words. He sung the song which saved my life and I completely gave up on the idea of him singing it. I was in tears like you wouldn't believe.

Seems he’s playing “Soul Love” again, which I’m quite happy about! A shame there’s no more COYK songs in the set list though.

I had a great up on the left in the accessibility seats ( mild cerebral palsy) nice clear view, really liked the setlist, i was using some fender ear plugs throughout the show and it seemed like really decent sound and he sings as well as he could possibly sing at this point. i dont think we had the screen last time and i think it added to the big gig feel despite the crowd size however i also think it is good because anyone there really wants to be there so when the stone roses come on everyone is pumped knowing he is on next. so good. i could go again tonight and would be just as pumped. Could probably swap out soul love for some might say or similar but i guess he wants to keep a little of beady eye alive. he does seem to like it in auckland which is nice.
