I've been on both sides of this equation - I've managed bands that have been paid to do private events, and I've handled events where we paid bands to come play (usually corporate conferences). As recording income has gone down, streams of income like this are definitely now a part of an artist's earning capacity. Even bands past their prime command big money - prices basically start at $200,000 and go up from there. If they've had hits, they can get that easily. All the major touring agencies have departments just for gigs like this. In my opinion, go for it.

I don't like my fave artists oasis/liam/noel doing things like this. For any reason I asociate this "gigs" to shitty pop artits.

I understand and would prefer if they didn't do things like this, but to be fair this isn't a "shitty pop artists" behaviour.
Dylan, Stones, Neil Young etc... they almost all did this kind of thing.

There's not that many artists or band who would refuse that much money, and Oasis never was that kind of band. I suppose that only artists with very strong political engagements, in a radical way I'd say, would refuse these things by principle. Or those who aren't famous enough to be asked to do things like this, but that's easy. ^^

But as already said, you don't get paid that much for a friendly show. That's business obviously, no shame about it, no crime commited, and he does what he wants. End of story. ^^

Never said he was wrong and you're clearly over-reacting, my opinion about it is nothing more than my opinion. At no point I pretend to tell him what to do. You completely made that up, no need for that either. I mean, I insisted on the fact that he wasn't the only one doing it, and insisted on the fact that many did much much worse than this. Did you missed that ?
