Its not my perception of American culture, I'm saying thats how its manifested itself into the media so far. I'm not trying to reduce yall at the root of things. Thats obviously complex and vast.
Oh, that was not intended to be a dig at you, it was more just an observation about the tone the thread was taking (weirdly, to me.) There's certainly no lack of egregious aspects to American society to be examined (and called out) -- I just didn't know people would see college basketball (which here has at least a bit of joyful purity compared to say the big money corporate machinations of pro team sports) as something so icky. That surprised me ... but in a "I didn't realize this is where things are" way not a "you nasty bastards" way. But the British-American perception thing is also complex and vast!

I'm sorry, everybody. I just thought this was a neat thing.

I'm sorry, everybody. I just thought this was a neat thing. It is! People just don’t know how to react to Americans using oasis songs.

We still arguing this? That promo hasn’t mattered since the tourney started. It’s just a cool song being used to hype some college hoops. Nothing more. Nothing else.
