Good. Director confirms that the full live show is coming out (with Oasis songs). Just not in the doc.
(About 24 mins into the interview above).

Going tomorrow night. Detroit suburbs. My cinema has 131 seats. Sold three so far. Probably about 70 people there for last years Knebworth movie. Really lets you meet true fans I guess. I'll buy everyone at the showing a pint

I've only realized it's the week before Thanksgiving... People are probably busy.

Minneapolis-St.Paul has 2 showings, one for each city, and both are too far away for me to bother going. Paramount+ it is.

Yeah, it's the same for me here in the UK, I live too far away from where the film is being shown. But it's not too far away from when it'll be shown on Paramount + anyway so I can wait a little longer.

It's gonna be on Paramount+ afterwards, and if it's like the Knebworth doc (mostly fan stuff) I don't have a huge amount of interest in paying for it. That said, excited to see whole concert!

Unfortunately, I’m on business in a city that’s not showing it tomorrow. I've read December 6th on two different sources. From ParamountPressExpress: "Paramount+ today announced that the feature-length documentary LIAM GALLAGHER: KNEBWORTH 22, highlighting the Oasis frontman’s return to the famed concert venue, will premiere on the service Tuesday, Dec. 6 in the U.S. and Canada, with additional premieres in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Italy and France (Wednesday, Dec. 7), and Germany, Switzerland and Austria (Thursday, Dec. 8) Additionally, the entire concert from this historic event, LIAM GALLAGHER LIVE: KNEBWORTH 22, will stream in full alongside the documentary on Paramount+."

20 out of 72 seats sold at the cinema I'm going to in Wellington, NZ. Just a few hours to go!

Just saw it. Sorry to have to say this but I wasn’t that happy with it. For many reasons but some include, too much focus on the fans and not enough focus on Liam and his rise to Knebworth. Too political, and the direction just wasn’t great. Not enough music either, you get over an hour into it before he walks on stage then it’s over! What made As it Was so great was the amount of raw footage of Liam just being Liam, needed more of that not half the documentary talking to fans, some of which add almost nothing (that guy from Scotland omg wtf why include him? Out of the thousands of people who would have had amazing stories of travelling from NZ etc they could have focused on)
I also didn’t think it would but the lack of oasis does hurt it as well… I will need to watch it again but it didn’t give me the same feeling as oasis Knebworth 1996 gave me. On a positive, Liam sounded amazing and the songs on stage were fucking epic, More Power and Once were awesome. It was the direction that really let it down, no fault of Liam obviously.

I enjoyed it, the stories about the fans were interesting to me and some of them really touching. I did wish the countdown to the concert would hurry up at times and we could have seen a bit more behind the scenes stuff, but overall I thought it was very good! More music would have been great, but what can you do when Noel blocks it. And I did think the focus on his solo tunes almost worked in its benefit for the story it was telling.
I mentioned upthread my 70yo Mum decided to come along, and due to my sister who was coming as well getting covid, my 73yo Dad joined us too! And they both seemed to absolutely love it and were buzzing when it finished, so that’s a vote for it from the casual/non fans lol.

I worried it would be like this. I didn’t rate the oasis knebworth film for the same reasons, the format of it just didn’t work imo. As for Liam’s copying the same stance I really don’t get it. I get why oasis did it as we all know their rise to fame story by now, but for Liam it should be centred around him and his amazing solo success. Shame.

Just took a peek to see day of tickets - my theater is still empty, but a few looking good. I also realized when I looked via Mobile, it wasn't showing me all the theaters (it was just showing me Atom theaters) - there are multiple venues in NY, LA and many of the other cities so I'm deleting my previous post. One theater in Los Angeles (Alamo) almost completely sold out - only 4 seats left! (about 40 sold)

I'm glad I avoided it in that case tbh, I don't think I could've sat in the cinema and listened to loads of fans talking about how amazing it was for them without getting upset and the trailer was already hard for me to watch. Anything to do with Knebworth just brings back bad memories of what happened to me that day + issues in my personal life so I figured it wasn't worth it in the end

Great stuff - really enjoyed it.
Nice mix of Liam, fans, rehearsal, politics.
The gig and visuals look INCREDIBLE. The full live show - with Oasis songs added - will be out of this world.
