Liam has been over on Instagram saying it sounds like Lenny Kravitz. Is anyone getting Lenny Kravitz out of this? I doubt Liam knows who Lenny Kravitz is

Not at all Think he just named the first pop artist women like that came to mind Nah, he could easily have gone for someone far more annoying or funny if he was just picking out of a hat. There's something he hears, though who knows what. I know Kravitz's hits but can't say I know the deep cuts ... unless he's thinking "Fly Away" because, um, flying ...?

I doubt Liam knows who Lenny Kravitz is That just proves he took a photo with him. It’s clear he’s never heard a Lenny Kravitz song in his life if he thinks Flying on the Ground sounds like him. It’s just a failed attempt at being cutting.

Great song, can we now finally stop pretending those EP's were any good? This song is a good departure from the Oasis' sound or whatever you would call it. Black Star Dancing, This Is the Place and Blue Moon Rising all sound like Andy Bell on the toilet. I thoroughly enjoyed those EPs mister!

Solid Album track, 5 for me. For my ears there's Something Missing in the middle, Maybe a proper Chorus. Btw. have you listened to my little tune already?

Actually, with those two new songs, it makes a pretty good damn record. I like Black star dancing, and dont mind come on outside although it could have been way better.

Very groovy. I hated the solo at first because it sounded very 80s hard rock, like a bad cover version, but now i dont mind. The melody is good too. The EP's are strong, the only let down are Come On Outside and Wandering star. But i hope Noel goes more into the Flying on the Ground route for the next record. We got enough 80s tunes. We need 70s orchestra music now.

I love Noel’s vocals and the melody.

It's overcompressed. Unlistenable in the context of the "album" EP with tracks back to back. It sounds like a 56 kbps MP3 from 99. The song is ok in itself, but that compression is a turn off on high end speakers / headphones. + it sounds vaguely like We're on our way now, so it's this one or the other for me.

People giving this a 10 I like it though, even though its clear a lot of work has been put in, it sounds easy. Good little tune and much better than the last one which wasn't even as good as the song it ripped off.

I've been giving this a lot of thought and run it through the SplitHit app:
Turn the vocals (Noel+choir) up. Turn the guitar, piano and orchestra slightly down. Turn the drums and bass slightly up.
Wait for the drums and bass to come in until the second verse (before the first chorus) just at the point where there's a down slide on the bass.
Mute the bass and drums again on the last "I'm flying on the ground, I'm upside down" in the outro.
This gives the song air to breathe, makes it more dynamic and groovy and emphasises Noel's fantastic vocals. (I don't know why his vocals have to be so low in the mix, this goes for We're On Our Way Now too!)
I might change my 6/10 rating to an 8/10

I'm at a 7 currently but can see it growing to an 8.
I really don't understand all the 10s. If this is a 10 then DLBIA would have to be a 20.
