Part of the intro has been made officially available. Also thirty seconds of what sounded like it might be the middle section (with just one line of Liam singing then just the strings and some very loud bagpipes) was accidentally previewed on Amazon Australia for a few hours but was quickly taken down. Damn I'd love to hear that! Only heard the intro section, next week can't come soon enough! I haven't listened to any of the previews to be honest as I never do. Never mind though it won't be long now before we hear the song in full anyway.

Bagpipes π Really? It's funny, I was thinking recently if Noel as part of his trying different sounds would have a song with bagpipes. Not that I love bagpipes but when done right it can be great (Mull of Kintyre, Sky Pilot) I hope it's true. From the intro, it does sound like that Liam will be using different than his typical instrumentation.

If it has bagpipes in, all the "Atypical" facebook Liam fans, will boycott Liam, probably.

Is the bagpipes thing true? Not that I donβt like bagpipes but in a song thereβs only a couple of songs where it absolutely fits, whatβs that AC/DC song with bagpipes in? Thatβs class but yeah, if they get it right then it could be amazing, Iβm all for Liam trying different things, donβt know why but Iβm getting the feeling that this song is gonna be epic & be that mega mainstream hit that an oasis member hasnβt had for a good few years, probably due to the sentiment of the song mixed in with the current climate but then again I thought Once was gonna be a the same

Wall of Glass only reached #21 but seemed a pretty big hit at the time, and was the first Gallagher single to be certified Gold since Little By Little (newer ones have reached it since like TIOBI). Even if its everywhere and sells/streams loads more due to the charity, Iβm really not expecting more than the lower reaches of the Top 10. As much as I would love it, I fear all this speculation about a Christmas #1 is a bit far fetched.

I'll be amazed if it breaks the top 20. Although I have no doubt it will sell very well physically and will definitely be no.1 in that department, I just don't think Liam can compete with the streaming numbers of other artists unfortunately.
I'd love to be proved wrong but can't see it myself. Even a top 40 hit these days would be a great success. It's very rare that someone of Liam's age does that.

The rap section is my favourite part, followed closely by the opera verse.

Yeah and physical sales will not be counted first week so that'll slow it down a bit, plus the last quarter of the year is usually VERY busy charts wise It may do extremely in the sales only chart though, like top 10 It's actually quite incredible the Gallaghers managed to get Top 40s and 20s as solo artists the way the charts are working these days, very few rock acts manage that

thats the kind of demo I'm digging. and this is not the punkiest version they've done
not some polished "acoustic" version of the single
they only got to do it ONCE (HAHA)

Bagpipes? Well if it works in the song then why not. We'll just have to wait and see. As for the charts, it would be great if Liam gets a top 10 hit with the song and surprises us all. But I think that it would be a miracle sadly these days.
