What else would it be? i meant to say : hope they just didn't erase the backing tracks and only kept the acoustic guitar and the same vocal take(s). the acoustic 'EP' he released, they did it that way. and maybe the Once demo, I'm note sure (another fucking ballad, I don't even wanna look out for it) The demo of once probably yes but the other songs on the EP are different takes, he re-recorded them (Ntify is in a different key too).

hope the demo is not a stripped down version of the single What else would it be? The Songbird demo has a life of its own.

Had to look myself. Given that youd said you just wanted it to crack 4 minutes, i thought 4:01 was too much of a coincidence to not be a joke π

The clip weβve heard so far reminds me of Weβll Live and Die In These Towns by The Enemy The nadir of 21st century music.

The Enemy were atrocious. Nice of them to be proud of their Coventry roots, but my word they were a shitefest.

The Enemy were ok if you knew not to expect anything amazing. Thereβs a bunch of bands that came out around then that were just average 6/10 bands but I have fond memories of them.

And their look was terrible. And their fanbase was Vauxhall Conference. All in all- them or the Twang for worst band ever.

I refuse to believe strong accents mean you can't break America. Look at Liam, regardless of Oasis not smashing America like Britain, they were still relatively popular over there. Heck, even The Proclaimers had it big in America. And Lewis Capaldi - as big a weegie you can get - has had two number ones on the billboard chart already. As said above, the only reason The Enemy were never going to break America is because they were fucking shit. Genuinely one of the worst bands I've ever had the misfortune of hearing. File with Kasabian and the like with all that crap boorish 'lad' rock.

The Enemy you can clearly hear it because you can't understand a word hes saying if you aren't from his hometown lol. I do agree that they weren't good tho lol

Yeah when I got into rock music I was quite fond of all those lad rocks band, even if I was a few years late to the party Looking back at it now I genuinely struggle to find songs I still enjoy listening to It's like they all thought they were taking inspiration from Oasis whilst completely missing the point 13 years old me fell for it, 20 years years old me is not particularly amused

Saw The Twang and The Enemy on a joint tour a few years ago for Β£20. Thought it was great value. Don't understand the hate for them myself.

I hope that you'll hear something soon. 15 minutes ago I finally received the email! That's good then at last. I still haven't heard anything else from them yet. To be honest I don't think they really know what they're doing. But do they ever?

That's good to hear that the new song is just over four minutes long.

The Enemy were a dreadful band. Anyway, regarding the demo of Liam's new song, I think it that it will be nice to hear it as we've only got the Once demo so far and no other demos by him.

The Songbird demo has a life of its own. Very true, but most demos are just stripped back versions of the track A shame an instrumental version of ONCE still hasn't turned up - with some editing we could then remove that awful frog chorus section in the middle from the album version.
