Scotland win, and now N- Ireland do a complete job on England. There's gonna be a lot of lottery tickets bought north of the border this week.
Was listening to the radio and they were talking about the odds of England scoreing a dozen or more goals against Wales and N.Ireland combined. I don't think thats the game they had in mind. ;D

just home - fuckin hell ,never beeen at gig/football match with atmosphere like it in my life and i 've been to cup finals,ibrox,old trafford and when man u won the CL in barcelona, fuckin unbelievalbe.

well done n.ireland but we played shocking. I realy think sven should go now but the thing is who would you replace him with? We need someone who will make bold decisions in leaving people out. I personaly think either lampard or gerrard should be droped because they cant play in the same team imo. No disrespect to northern ireland who played well, but if we had just played a reasonable match we would have won comfortably.

Unbelievable night! I still cant believe that a team with all these guys from Chelsea, Real Madrid et al were out-fought by the Northern Irish lads who ply their trade for the likes of Luton etc (no disrespect). Ian Wright and Alan "I'm Scottish honestly" Hansens' pusses were fucking quality at the end of that game. ;D England will still qualify and are still a class team, but well done to the green & whites!

England were (as we have been for going on two years now) tactically APALLING.
Sven should get the boot. I'm sick of watching a team full of superstars who, on paper, should be utterly fantastic, flail around like a Sunday league side with no ideas or bite up front. Congrats to N. Ireland, they played out of their skins and deserved it.

A result like this has been threatening to happen for a while. England DO have a squad of players capable of competing with the best, but they need some motivating to really perform. There's no reason why the England players shouldn't have been as up for the game as NI were, being massive favourites makes no difference. If we still played Home Internations we'd struggle to win a game.
International football, especially if you have the players, is about motivation and keeping things simple. You don't have the time to be tinkering and complicating things. Play the players in a simple, familliar formation and get them up for it. It's a sad state of affairs if wearing the three lions isn't enough for these players, but so be it. We need someone down to earth and not afraid to give these prima-donnas a good kick up the arse.
