It’s not better than the studio version, but I love the slower tempo Noel-sung demo of Some Might Say off the Japan single.

DBTT demos are better than the finished recordings.

Obviously it's not better, but I do quite like the spaced-out vibe of the DYKWIM demo.

It’s not better than the studio version, but I love the slower tempo Noel-sung demo of Some Might Say off the Japan single. I too like the slower tempo version of Some Might Say with Noel on vocals. But like you say it's not better than the finished album version. I have the demo version on a bootleg cd as well as on the Japanese version of the single.

Demos I Prefer To The Official Releases: - Where Did It All Go Wrong? - The Hindu Times
Quite a few of the Mustique demos come close in this category. Notably I love the bridge riff on the demo to I Hope, I Think, I Know which is unforgivably buried on the official version, the super peppy drums on It's Getting Better (Man!!) and Noel singing lead on Don't Go Away (heresy I know). Had Liam sang these demos I reckon quite a few would be on this list.
Gonna give Stop Crying Your Heart Out a shout out too for nearly making it. Noel's vocal's carry much more emotion than Liam's boringly straight performance. The smaller helping of cheese in the chorus is appreciated too.
Personal Favourites: - Columbia - D'You Know What I Mean? - Where Did It All Go Wrong? - The Hindu Times
