The way he said it also made it sound it's coming out under Shaun's name (or whatever name's going by at the moment) Always figured it would be under Shaunβs umbrella. Next up in Black Keys and Noel. We shall see what that all involves.

I see the one and only James Hargreaves gets namechecked by Noel in the latest episode!
"That fucking guy, he's at it again"

Noel performs a cover of I Saw Her Standing There on the latest podcast⦠What?? I've always wanted to see him singing that one, heard he performed for Stella McCartney at her birthday... Is there any link to it?

Is there any link to it? Don't worry, it's only a couple of lines, sung in the background whilst Matt was trying to sort out some technical issues. He actually does a bit more of an old 60s song called Runaround Sue en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runaround_Sue

One thing you can do, if you don't want to pay Β£5 every month, is to pay Β£5 every now and then and listen to all the interviews that they've done in the meantime which is probably about 1 a month on average.
If you were to pay Β£5 a month today, you could probably listen to a couple of dozen of them, which are all about 2 hours long.

Is it Matt interviewing other people?

Finished listening to the latest episode, and I noticed something - for the first time in ages, Noel told a story that involved Liam (hanging out with Dave Gahan) where he didn't sound angry. Usually when he tells a story that involves Liam, he won't use his name, or he will always say something negative about him or just sound pissy. But this time he obviously enjoyed telling the story, used his name, recounted how they kept passing looks to each other in the back seat of the cab about Gahan's behaviour... I wouldn't be surprised if relations are thawing in the background.

Couple of moments in the middle of the year where there was a bit of hostile back and forth between them but apart from that Noel's been using his name and including him in stories since the divorce. Edit: just remembered the last podcast he told how Liam stopped him from releasing a compilation album of Oasis songs from the 2000s. Noel's response? It's not the end of the world. Never thought I'd hear him so relaxed.

We'll get that compilation some day. I don't believe the story that they coudln't work out the tracklist. Their managmement was busy with the Knebworth album/films and Noel's compilation.
This year we'll get the DM reissue with hopefully good material, and I can see them releasing Morning Glory again in 2025 with Earls Court/Maine Road gigs.

And I'd imagine it would be around 18 songs like Stop The Clocks.

Pretty sure it was best of the 2000's on CD1 and unreleased songs on CD2.

Nobody releases compilations these days in this age of streaming. Don't think the world is crying out for a post-97 Oasis 'best of' either, it would just be a pointless exercise.
