It appears to finally be dead/offline permanently. Too bad, there are some great informational threads on there regarding early demos and other history that has fallen through the cracks. Hopefully most if it still shows up when searching on The Wayback Machine, otherwise we may have just lost another great (though not as great as L4e ) Oasis resource. RIP, supernovaheights.proboards.com/.

I wonder why the option to leave it online and just lock it wasn't chosen by the admins? As mentioned always sad to lose informational threads.

Woah, I hope this won't be permanent. Last time the forum disappeared, it had the same error message and was back within a few days/weeks.
Edit: However, I think that last time, most original threads on said forum were gone after its relaunch.

Sad news, I used to spend a lot of time there when it launched.

I don't think I've been able to log into that forum since before Christmas! A shame - great forum!

Damn, those Proboards staff who open zipped bootlegs to check that any songs that were released as b-sides in 1995 must have got to them.

People always logging in to see if they could grab something in the download section and hardly commenting, I guess. The main reason for the closure was inactivity and the admin decided to call it a day.

It's a shame, but I think the above post was right. People would go there to download them just leave Definitely. Mark put a huge amount of effort in getting what was probably the most complete Oasis (and related bands) download database available online. Even a simple thank you would have made a difference but too many just took without giving anything back. The same has happened here over the years. It’s a shame it’s no longer available. It served a purpose and helped get some demo tapes and other bits and pieces out there as well as help develop a few friendships along the way.

Mark did wonders for that forum, and the lad gave it everything to get the forum to be a success but a forum is only as good as its members and just like this forum it’s the same people uploading for others and not sharing back. It’s happened for years, ever since I was one of the admin for the old Bootleg.org forum and it used to frustrate me to fuck. That site had some great members just like this forum but the attitude people need to have when being a member of a forum which shares things is if you get something then give something back. I appreciate not everyone records gigs and that’s cool, but if you download something and someone asks for a reupload then that’s your time to help out others.
That forum went downhill the minute Mark removed all the downloads and that said it all. The lad put so much time and effort into uploading all them bootlegs and although you got some people being grateful others just hit and left and didn’t contribute to the forum. I’ve always thought torrent sites with a ratio limit is the best way to go about sharing to keep things fair but that’s just my old school thinking.

I was happy at one stage just to be able to supply him with rips of a couple of rare Oasis radio promo discs to share because I'd felt so bad that all I was ever doing was taking! I still feel bad as it was a drop in the ocean to what he was sharing. Jim was also very generous in sharing alot of fantastic stuff through that forum. Hopefully they haven't walked away entirely. I know Jim hangs out here sometimes and I think we'd all love to have them join in more here - whether they're sharing rare material or just joining in the fun Oasis chat!

If everyone on that forum just shared at least one or 2 things no matter how rare or not rare, it’s the contribution that mattered. If you only shared a couple of radio promo discs then you contributed mate so I certainly wouldn’t feel bad about it one bit. I’m sure he’ll be back at some point, it’s sometimes nice to take a backseat and let others take over when you think you’ve done as much as you can and just lurk around forums like I pretty much do as sometimes work and life get in the way of stuff like this.

Closed to inactivity if i'm remembering Marks last post right. Think there are more posts in this thread than there were in recent times on the forum. Jim is right in saying it was a huge database of bootlegs, nothing like that existed on the internet. Would be good to see the forum back, but i think it's too late for that now. Does anyone know how to get into contact with Mark? I had a few conversations with him regarding some Beatles stuff, Hope he makes his way on here, we need people like him in the community. I remember he's on Twitter, just search for him. I don't know if he's still active there though. It's a real pity and I hope he will be back soon. Anyway, if anyone is interested, I could resume this forum I created when SNH closed the first time in November 2015. It's been inactive for 4 years but we could make a fresh start and share bootlegs on there, waiting for SNH to reappear. shakermaker.proboards.com/ Feel free to join.

I hope that Mark is doing well, and hope to see him around here again soon.
I was always happy to share the rarities I'd collected over the years, and his site was the best place to do that.
SNH was a great community to be a part of, but, unfortunately, it's utility as a discussion group seemed to have declined.
Hopefully a rarities and bootleg resource of similar quality can be resurrected for the oasis fanbase.

Gutted to hear it closing, and I really do hope it will return in some form. I didn't contribute much there myself in recent years, but was going to post some stuff there today only to see it was closed. What set it apart from other forums for me was that there seemed to be a lot of genuine fans and collectors who contributed immensely to the community with both recordings and knowledge, and few (if any?) trolls or drama. Unfortunately getting new members to return frequently is difficult in this day and age, especially to a forum.
Will try to get a hold of Mark to see if we could get him involved in another project or see if he will come back here - he's a TOP guy, and the work he put into that forum himself is second to none. Unfortunately many take for granted the amount of work people like Mark put into sharing things when offering free downloads or great/exclusive content.
Glad to see many familiar nicknames in this thread, and hope they do stick around.
Best regards, Joakim

Over the last year no one post there or contribute all they want its to download and demand for links without any kind of participation. Sad but i think its a pause cause as Mark did i do upload a loot of thing there (also here) and it was sad to know how the "fans" there only were there to download and not to talk or help.
Hope we know about Mark and all the great supporters to help the forum be the best.

Makes me nostalgic for when it launched, I was just about to graduate high school and absolutely heavy into Oasis. Considering what a dry time it was for Oasis fans comparatively, it was still able to make it feel like something of a golden era to be a fan: Jim's blog, two semi-competing forums, buzz over rare bootlegs; it was nice. If you're reading this Mark, let me echo what others are saying. I didn't thank you enough back then. Thank you for the good times.
