In an ideal world Liam rocks the shit out of this tune but the reality is Noel sings it better. Less strain.

Does anyone know when the Liam demo for this was recorded? Was it before DBTT?
Noel's vocal is better. But I get the feeling Liam's could have been superior with some more work/time in the studio.

Most likely fall of 2004. Yeah, probably just needed more studio time then. Lyla was a strain on his voice at that time but they managed to make it sound OK. |

Where does the liam version come from? Part of a dvd? I think it got leaked with Record Machine and Stop The Clocks didn't it? I've found it strange that Liam did a version of it, I always thought Noel would pretty much demo and then give the selected few songs to Liam (not enough for my liking) for the album and therefore there wouldn't be many of these unreleased Liam-sung songs. It's not his greatest vocal but I still prefer Liam's version. |

That would mean that Liam's version is probably a first attempt at a real recording. I feel like we have had this discussion in another thread and came to the conclusion that the Noel version came first. My guess is that Noel wasn't happy with the Liam-sung version, so we got the Noel version when the film was made. |

It's interesting how everyone seems to find Liam's vocals on his take a bit crap. I think it fits the song perfectly well.

Noel's voice suits the song better. If the final release really contains a vocal track from the original demo then I doubt Liam would've done a better job doing multiple takes.

People honestly think Liam sounds better on this song? Not in the versions we have currently. In a perfect world Liam nailed this vocal take and it ended up on DBTT.
