They've both insulted the respective singles, but which one's better.

They don't share any similarities. Can't compare.

They don't share any similarities. Can't compare. Never understood this, why do two things have to be alike to say which one's better?

I like that other people really like Once a lot. That's probably what I'll always remember about this album cycle more than anything else. I probably haven't listened to the album version as much as the Acoustic Sessions one though (love those). Prefer other stuff off of WMWN still. So Blue Moon Rising.

Once is a new classic. Tonight in Milan everybody sang it. It is up there with Wondewall. Noel has to deal with it.

I mean watch the Milan gig videos. Noel can say what he wants (if its not clear Im refer to his rant and grumpy tweet) BUT Once is become a classic among Liam/Oasis fanbase. I dubt it can say about BMR. (I love love love Noel last album)

If anything, the chorus of BMR is classic Noel. Once being a classic is ridiculous.

What you think meaes nothing to me. Ciao!

Wonderwall is a song on another plane of existence. It took Oasis from being a smashing UK success story to a global phenomenon for about 16 months. Made them international superstars. Everyone knows Wonderwall. Every kid learning to play guitar learns it. Not every band gets a song like this. Oasis did.
Nothing either brother does solo will ever match this impact.

If you don't wanna hear others' opinions, why the hell are you on a forum. If you're going to compare one of the best songs ever with a song that isn't anything more than good, you should be prepared to be challenged, if not downright mocked for doing so. One crowd sung along, that doesn't make it a classic. If Liam has a solo classic, it's called wall of glass.

But people in a mb dubt it. Ps: Wall of Glass... LOL

Yeah, I remember when Once became a massive pop hit that immortalized a band and a generation. I remember when Once became a set list staple for years after it's release. I remember when Once spawned covers from some of the most famous famous pop stars of multiple generations. I remember when once was inescapable, played on nearly every radio station across the world. Oh yeah, that was wonderwall. Once was that song that didn't break the top 40 in any major country.

Why is this even a poll? ๐

There is no comparison imo BMR is a decent song, once is one of the best ballad written by noel or Liam (yeah I know that probably andrew wrote most of the song but anyway..) I don't think it will be as popular as wonderwall in 25 years but this doesn't mean that wonderwall as a song is better than once.

Got to be once. Why is this even a poll? ๐ Because they are the newest singles by each Gallagher brother. Both have insulted the respective singles. Once is a vastly overrated power ballad, BMR is a vastly underrated dance song. They're about the same quality wise, but Once has downright cringe worthy lyrics. It's treated as a gift from the gods, but it's just alright.

XD I follow Oasis since 1994, I dont need your lesson about Wondewall. I was talking about percepition at the gigs. And Once is up there. Ask Liam or watch videos. Bye bye.

According to this reasoning, barbie girl is way better than dead in the water. I think you misunderstand. You were saying that being more popular doesn't make it better, I agree. I was simply saying that(disregarding popularity) Wonderwall is a better song. So no, by my logic, Barbie Girl isn't better than dead in the water, not because of popularity, but because barbie girl is awful.
