I think Billie is a deservedly hyped artist right now. 'Where We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' isn't my thing, but 'Bad Guy' really is a great track. For me it's appeal largely hangs around a few very simple, well executed ideas (the excellent bass riff being the most important) meaning it does a lot with really very little. At the same time though it's just different enough to feel exciting and new.

It reminds me of something like 'Blue Orchid' by The White Stripes, a song I love. They're both very minimal, have a strong memorable riff, a 'four on the floor' kick drum, no real chorus and are both a little weird and scary.
