Well looks like he's gone..... I'm not bitter at all with him leaving, 9 years great service (even tho last season was certainly lacking in parts) proves his loyalty to the club, a great captain, and his last kick won us the FA Cup from United Good luck to him

Arsenal have no chance of winning the CL. Wenger doesn't have the tactical skill for it.

You see Dilly what made Liverpool win last year was Rafa's tactical class. He out-thought Fabio Capello and Jose Mourinho. Arsenal's problem is that Wenger has no plan B. If a team puts 10 men behind the ball he doesn't know what to do. That's why they get knocked out again and again without getting close.

Well they have as good a chance as any team. Its down to the players not just the manager. They've made/will make a couple of signings I could see them doing well. Although personally I think UTD will win And that 'goal' had something to do with defeating Mourinho aswell

Well after having Stevie G scoring a late own goal and losing to a deflected goal in a match we dominated and should have had a penalty in we deserved some luck.
And by the way, Man U have no chance of winning the CL.

Don't give me shit like that. Utd have as much a chance as any one of those teams in the CL. Heck we're further then Liverpool so far and haven't even kicked a ball

liverpool fans have gottin arrogent, all im sayin is, you werent good enought to finish above everton, man united had one of there worst seasons and they stilll came well above you scouse, us arsenal didnt have there players playin at there best and we still finished miles ahead, so dont get arrogent at all, just remeber that semi final and that "goal"

you have to remeber it is the CHAMPIONS league, so everyteam in it is decent, theres no easy games, like if a team can make there home games count, then they always have a chance

this is supposed to be a Patrick Vieira appreciation thread! Not a "my team is better than yours" one ******************************************* PV left us on nice round figures, at Arsenal he managed 10 of these: and exactly 100 of these: i wonder how that compares to Vinny Jones??!!

When you walk through the storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of the storm There's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of the lark Walk on, through the wind Walk on, through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone im gutted, i love the man, he can never be replaced, hope the check bounces and he has to come back

he'll be missed alright, but i don't think it's as major a loss as it would have been a couple of years ago
I remember in the midst of him being on the verge of joining Real last summer, Tony Adams pointed out that it mightn't be such a bad idea for Arsenal to cash in on him... you see Paddy's got one leg about an inch longer than the other - it doesn't affect him day to day, but it affects players much more noticeably as they go further into their career, and as a player heading into his 30s, his shelf life of top level football probably isn't very long
And good job by his agent to ensure that 4 year contract (or is it 5?) with Juve at £85K/week!

HAHAHAHA!!!! Yeh right vs Olympiakos - 8 mins away from elimination before a Stevie G wonder goal vs Juventus - Over the 2 ties Juve hit the cross bar once, the post twice and had a perfectly good goal disallowed vs Chelsea - Garcia's shot didnt even cross the line and Gudjonson 9x outta 10 would have scored that almost open goal in the last minute vs Milan - Dida made a pig's ear of Smicer weak shot, Gerrard shamelessly dived for the penalty, Alonso was fortunate the rebound only just fell to him and how the fuck shevchenko missed from half a yard out only God will know. Difference is down to luck. Liverpool had shite loads of it. We had none. And thanks for the memories Paddy! You are a total legend.

Thanks to Vieira for the memories It's been a rough summer, just hoping Bobby P sticks around and doesn't head off with Paddy, I think I'd cry You see Dilly what made Liverpool win last year was Rafa's tactical class. He out-thought Fabio Capello and Jose Mourinho. Arsenal's problem is that Wenger has no plan B. If a team puts 10 men behind the ball he doesn't know what to do. That's why they get knocked out again and again without getting close. No that is one huge load of bullshit. Tactical Prowess my ass. It's a cup competition, in particular one where any and everything does happen. Look at the league results, not a cup competition if you want to measure a team's performance. Europe's not everything kids.
