Any chance of Liam having a second week at no.1? Can't see anything particularly big being released next week either? Isn't MTV being aired Friday? I reckon it'll boost sales quite a lot, so I guess it's plausible.

Back to the topic: Wednesday Update 60,093k. So it should end first week with around 70k The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and Liam Gallagher has passed the 60,000 sales mark for Why Me? Why Not. As You Were topped 100,000 units in its first week in 2017, and Gallagher’s follow-up posts a total of 60,093 for the week so far. Keane have reached a milestone of their own at No.2 with Cause And Effect (20, 628 sales), while Post Malone is at No.3 with Hollywood’s Bleeding (9,378 sales). Blink 182’s Nine (8,035 sales) and Sam Fender’s Hypersonic Missiles (7,847 sales) complete the Top 5. Just shows what pull Liam and Noel still have and how music as I knew it is dying a bit. Reminds me, I haven't got round to buying Why Me? Why Not yet, I better pull my finger out.

Remember when people were fretting over Keane's album coming out on the same day I am convinced both brothers will always get no.1 albums in the UK - even if Noel churned out an album full of instrumentals.

Well done, Liam! Well deserved! And to think I was a bit nervous about Keane - Liam outsold them big time!

Well in Liam, so happy for our boy 🥳
As for the twitter followers, if everyone who bought it follows him on twitter (which they don’t) this still means that, being generous, only 2.25% of his followers bought the album.
They should put their money where their big mouths are. Streaming or not, for the amount of entertainment he gives them on twitter they should just buy the fuckin album.

Remember when people were dumping on Noel because CY and MOON sold less than HFB? Same happened to Liam and it was to be expected. The excitement of a debut is always gonna drive more people to the shops and digital sites. The important thing is that quality music is being made and released.

I assume the Twitter followers are all around the world though, not just the UK? I was a bit lazy and bought it today which I assume counts for next week's sales. Congrats to Liam anyway, sounds like he smashed the rest of the field.

Can’t use twitter to judge anything. Exactly! Number of followers on social media means nothing. It’s all bs.
