Superbly made, mate! Really enjoyed listening to it, specially The Right Love, you've given it a real haunting, space-like quality to it..Iz Rite to Fly fits really well together too, hope to see more of these!
How did you manage to get the instrumentals of the tracks to work with? Sounds like they're multitrack, or did you mix the vocals out of the original tracks?

Instrumentals used to be available on Jim's blog & I downloaded them back in the day. They're sourced from radio promo CDs, as far as I know. The newer ones (Who Built The Moon? onwards) are available online if you know where to look  Using the instrumentals & a mixing technique called OOPSing (out of phase stereo), I could subtract the instrumental from the official version and get a fairly clean vocal isolation (that's what I did for "The Right Stuff"). The rest was just haphazard mixing and matching! |
