Any chance for the album version to be longer with an extended outro? Think not mate. The track duration on the album listing on iTunes and stuff is the exact same.

Ehm I find it creepy. Like its nostalgia just for nostalgia sake. No one has died. Speaking from the advanced age of 42, it rang true to me. Seems to be when you start to realize some people and relationships are gone for good even though no one's died. Fallen by like the rain, if you please.

Let me guess, if Noel made this video it would be life changing. NO<3L doesn't approve of music videos. It's all about the music. I've always loved the first three NGHFB videos, which made even Russell Brand watchable. I wonder if Noel decided those were too much work (or money) and stopped caring.

The theme is sad and it's sad they're marketing it being about Noel/Oasis. Totally, to wait and release on the day Oasis broke up 10 years ago, it's uber marketing. Stop it already, it does not appear sincere at all, just opportunistic to the highest level. MOVE ON already. As for the video itself the chair idea was kinda good. Like Noel's videos, i wont watch it a second time though. The uplifting song does not fit the atmosphere of the video i thought. A generation's already grown up without Oasis. Liam and Noel have fans who got into their solo stuff before touching Oasis. They don't care about when the plum heard round the world was chucked. We know why the date is significant, but it wouldn't make us want to watch the video any more or less. Maybe Liam airing his love and hate for Noel isn't a marketing stunt (though I'm sure Warners welcome it), and he's truly working out his issues in public?

Wonder where he's walking to in all these vids In the final single off the album, he'll bump into Noel in the Mighty I video, and Oasis will announce a comeback tour. LOL

he wants to sell with this? he will. Isn't it why we all like Oasis, Noel, Liam? Well done marketing in the 90's... and now... everybody's offended? bah... Great video

I wonder if Noel decided those were too much work (or money) and stopped caring. The quality of the vídeos by Mike Bruce waned after the trilogy. And by looking at those that leaked for WBTM I dont think Bruce can make another one work. If only Noel let the vídeos not be about him performing or walking around. Could even hire someone else to be in there instead of him.

THe 16 years ago today line I’m guessing is 2002/1 (depending on when these lyrics were written) That’s got to be about when Noel started to change...probably because of you know who Or when Liam's front teeth got knocked out at a German nightclub.

Subtle Oasis breakup date on that door. Little Liam looks like Dakota Fanning. Lets get Liam to next year's VMAs!

Liam said in the Radio X interview the video has little clues for 'trainspotters'. The break-up date obviously, chairs like in Wonderwall video, anything else?

It's date that is in the news, so it's not that un-important, even to the younger ones. We were impacted by the Beatles breakup, how it happened, when it happened... even twenty years alter, it was important in the 90s and still is. So why not the younger fans for Oasis ? It's been buzzing for 5 days even outside out england. If a band matter a lot for you, it doesnt matter that you were not born then, it's an important date. It's even in the video There might be a bit of love in all this, but it's really disturbing to see it all wrapped in all this. It's just too much. The whole album is apparently about Noel, stop it already, patch things up in private, write about something else. End of. you cant diss someone in public every day of the week and then hope for things getting better in a video for a song you did not write. So to me, it's all marketing. He probably wants his brother back deep down, but is also exploiting to the fullest for his own career. It's like right in your face.

I’ve watched it several times now, and completely appreciate it. It’s clever as fuck. And it’s made me appreciate the song on a more emotional level, and the uplifting aspect of the song to the melancholy emotions is exactly what made his brother, Noel Gallagher, famous. Everything about this video is excellent.
Easily one of the best Oasis related videos of recent times. Lovely stuff.

Another Liam release, another brigade of theories about how everything is about Noel. Ironically, by the same people as well.
More news at 9.

1. The video´s main theme is Liam´s childhood memories as the basis of his mourning.
2. First act, Liam visits his childhood memories in the open field. He sees the photos and the three Gallaghers as either children or animal spirits (forces of nature?). The conflict here is the abscence of one brother, we know who.
3. Second act, we get a representation of Liam´s inner state when he walks into the storage (probably his own mind). He is simply obsessed with revisiting his past (the white screen) and is no ashame of revealing his main desire, to see the three of them together again (the three silouhetes). Then we are back in the field.
4. Third act, there is some kind of resolution I think. Liam still mourns but seems to accept things as they are (three roses). The three empty chairs facing the ocean seems like a final invitation to Noel to see life ahead.
5. Whatever the true meaning of the video, while a great work (probably the best video of any Gallagher post 2009) I hope this is Liam´s last call to Noel and the past. The topic is getting tiresome. Oasis´ and now Liam´s challenge has always been superseding their profile as a nostalgia act.

Solid video, the more I listen to this the more I think it sounds like something Ashcroft or the verve would’ve played with the strings
