Toned it down similar to how he lowered 'let you down' on Universal Gleam. Ignore the annoying crowd singing it's the only video I could find.

I like it. Sounds like a different song. Tbf I was never a massive fan of the original version of it.

I actually really like that. Before he was just half arsed going for the high note and it sounded shite but he's on purpose changing the melody here and it sounds good.

Oh that’s a ton better live.
Like a melancholy version but far more in his model register.

Sounds like he should just drop it.
Doesnt sound right when the rest of the chorus stays the same.

To be fair, i think he was never really confortable singing Bold. Even at the very start of his solo run, he always struggled with the high notes, but it got massively worse as the tour went on.
While lowering it, does improve his vocals, the song just does not sound right like that. That can happen with some songs. Lowering Lyla also made the song lose it's punch for me.
Maybe he could replace Bold with Paper Crown, or Come Back To Me. The latter deserves more live performances than the ones it has until now and he seemed to sound good giving it a go in every clip i saw.

Although I prefer paper crown both on album and live it's another example of the 'liam and choruses too high for him to hit' duo. Even the Live From The Roof performance was held back by it.

That is true but he did fucking nail it at the start of the tour, but with the load of one, is a bit too hard for him to go so high often. Have a feeling it might be dropped once the proper album tour starts. And replaced with something from the new album.

Better than expected... Maybe get the backing vocalist to do the higher note? Fuck anyone who thinks it's a shit song though. I just wish he'd sing 'I ain't lookin for ya, 9 to 5. I don't want to keep the, dream alive' to reference that Andy song.

Yeah, loved it! Not the pick your nose lyrical change though, I thought that’s what he sung and this confirms it!

Maybe he's more relaxed now, after nailing Unplugged and putting one of the best songs of his career out. Things are going good, and fair play to him. The only person not happy about that is, well, we all know.

I'm not the biggest fan of Bold anyway, it's the arrangement with the female backing singers that lift it so I'd only play it when they are there if I were him (I'm not sure if he has done any gigs with them yet).

I much prefer the way the original version builds.

I don't like it. The chorus loses all its punch. He's also started shortening sentences again, also not a good thing.

Falls flat for me. I liked the way how the chorus soared up. This is more melancholic (that is not a problem in itself) but also, it sounds flat.

I don't like the acoustic version. Not sure about the way he sings it. Could sound proper cool and dark with the full band behind him. Now it just sounds a bit flat.

I like it n I love also to hear a different version of a song... Imo even the Irish pub version was excellent... Dark haunting n broken...
