I really really hope this will be officially released in full version. If not, we'll riot.

Just watched this on MTV over here. I thought it was alright. A bit too predictable and rushed and I'm not sure I'll ever be bothered to listen to this again. I thought the low point was Why Me? Why Not. I'd not heard the song before and thought it was a mediocre at best. It was nice to hear Liam sing rare stuff that's not been performed in over a decade and I thought Cast No Shadow was fantastic but all arrangements were very standard and nothing surprised me really. Now I'm not expecting him to go all Pink Floyd and do 15 minutes musical intro's but once a song starts and you've heard a minute of it you know where it's going and how it's going to end. That said, I do believe a large part of his audience wants exactly that and although I don't think he's willing (and capable?) to change arrangements who can blame him for not doing anything different when an entire audience enjoys these shows for what they are?

Anytime an artist changes the song with all these extra ideas it makes me cringe. I want to hear it like the album. No other artist destroys original songs worse than Madonna. But Unplugged is a beautiful thing. Just watched this on MTV over here. I thought it was alright. A bit too predictable and rushed. But Unplugged is a beautiful thing. Plenty of artists did it right though. I've no idea what Madonna's got to do with this but Clapton's rendition of Layla is very different from the original and both are fantastic. Nirvana changed a lot and their performance was great. Noel's done plenty of semi-acoustic shows, his acoustic version of Slide Away is superb as well. I don't want to hear it like the album, just swapping electric guitars for acoustic guitars kind of defeats the purpose of MTV Unplugged in my book.

I'm very very very happy when artists keep doing songs exactly like album versions. I really hate that Bob Dylan thing... don't wanna listen this nonconformist ego of changing changing changing.
