So this is first aired in the UK tomorrow at 9pm.... which countries get it earlier? I’d expect a 50/50 Oasis/Liam split.

MTV Germany claims to show it at 20:05 (19:05 UK), but the schedule of my TV box does not show it. If I'm home tomorrow I'll watch and wait. If not, I'll record whatever is on at that time and/or try my luck with the reruns.

Not sure if I will be able to see the show in France www.mtv.fr/news/mtv-unplugged-la-nouvelle-session-debarque-avec-liam-gallagher/8fs19k"Un live acoustique exclusif qui s'annonce d'ores et déjà historique, à découvrir le 27 septembre à 20h50 sur MTV !" Won't be able to watch it "live" as I'll be at work & apparently they don't livestream the channel through their website nor through Molotov (the free version of the app), but I'll catch it later when some kind soul uploads it.

Extended with how many songs, I wonder. They don't say complete, so there'll still be a few bits missing but let's hope we get at least 3 more songs than the regular broadcast. By extended they mean the full gig. The TV version will have some songs cut Best news I've heard since the album leaked!

The sight of RuPaul's Drag Race and Liam Gallagher in the same picture is quite amusing.

Much more skilled but not necessarily better. It’s sanitised and dull with Gem and Andy. Liam himself said it in an interview recently that he preferred the original line up due to its punk ethos. The spontaneity, the primal nature of it all - you can’t tone it down and unfortunately Gem and Andy diluted the passion massively. A skilled musician is not necessarily a great musician. A great musician is the right one who is able to interpret the right emotion and feeling through sound. It doesn’t require technique to do that, only your own perception and originality. For that reason, Bonehead and co are way way better. I think that "punk ethos" and primal nature of it had more to do with their ages at the time tbh. Not like there was much spontaneity on stage with the original lineup. I don’t mean spontaneous in the sense they were just improvising but spontaneous in the sense that it wasn’t over thought, it was direct, it was simple, it was more to do with the feel of the sound rather than the technique. They had that in abundance and I don’t think it’s ever been matched in music since. Imagine a stadium rock band playing like they did today? They went against type - it wasn’t carefully crafted, there was no stagecraft, it was all very raw and pure. It’s unimaginable today. Gem and Andy did what they had to do but it was just another band. But with Bonehead and co in that era? Them and their ethos and what they symbolised is why we’re still on this forum talking about it. Without that attitude, which was brought forward in Noel’s songwriting and Liam’s singing, Oasis are just another band.

That gang mentality suited perfectly the communal music Noel was writing but a lot of my favourite Oasis’s live performances are from mk2. Rock n Roll Star from the evening session, DYKWIM for Superdry, I could pick quite a few from Barrowlands 2001. Bonehead was great tbf. He improves Liam’s band every time he’s on stage.

We need to start a petition to get SBM and Sad Song videos✋ If they have to cut them, they should upload them on their Youtube!
I mean, both broadcasting on TV and uploading videos on Youtube are nothing to do with Noel's publishing rights. Am I wrong? We've already got many pro-shots of Liam singing Oasis songs. Even yesterday Radio X uploaded a video of Liam singing SMS at O2 Ritz. I don't think there's any difference with MTV Unplugged. Liam might keep singing SBM and Sad Song in his WMWN tour, but this Unplugged gig is the one and only moment we could get...
