Gem was lump of coal from Newcastle but the pressure of being in Oasis turned him into a diamond. 😂😂

Well of course he is, bonehead is an unspectacular musician. I'd go as far as saying he's significantly below average. Don't understand the love he gets from the fans. Seems like an unpleasant person as well.

Seems like an unpleasant person as well. He is loved by (mostly british) fans because he is like them. Same goes for Liam in a way, but Liam is talented. When they see Bonehead, they see themselves. The guy who was supposed to work in a factory all his life but ended on a big stage. He's the guy who won the lottery. I remember back then when we did forum gatherings at Oasis gigs in UK, Bonehead was like a god for British fans, the rest didn't care. Respect for starting the whole thing though and keeping Liam and Noel in the band for a while. But musically, Gem has brought a lot to Oasis MK2.

I still think he's better than Bonehead. Technically yes. I met both of them. I felt distance when I met Gem, but with Bonehead, it was like meeting your old friend. He came as what we would expect what he is like. Really down to earth guy. Great to have him next to Liam now. Supersonic live wouldn't be same withuot Bonehead.

That personality and character comes through his playing. It's bog standard easy stuff but the passion is there and that reckless wall of sound is partly to do with Bonehead. Bringing Gem in sanitized everything. His style is just extremely dull and epitomises Oasis in the 2000s. He's technically skilled but no personality to the playing style. One of the reasons why Oasis in the 2000s is so middling and boring is because there was no personality to the music or songwriting. Like punk, it's not to do with the technique. It's all to do with the attitude that shines through the music. You could find millions and millions of other Gems but you can't replace Bonehead.

Did Ringo sniff...sorry, I’ll stop it.
Bonehead, though, is the Ringo of Oasis. And every gang or team needs that kind of character.
