What do people think of the “clean the pool, send the kids to school” line? Is it the new “cops are taking over, everyone is in yoga” line? The lyric itself is fine, the delivery is bizarre. Actually I hate the lyrics but like the delivery!

I quite like the middle section and think the robotic Onces are peculiar and give the song a stand-out trait that makes it a bit more memorable. That's not to say it makes that much of a difference either way, imo.

the difference about the lyrics is, that early oasis lyrics like supersonic, never were supposed to be deep or meaningful. liam's lyrics, though, you can tell, are supposed to be exactly that. unfortunately, he's not a good lyricist. some of them are just bad, some are even cringeworthy. even though noel has become a bit of a vagina latelty and i despise some of his live renditions (scyho is awful!!!), i like his music better than what liam does. at least, he's trying to evolve a bit, getting away from the formula he's been using for the last 30 years. liam's music sounds as if he was still stuck in 2001... in the bad way. if at least he was making good music, but he's not. 80% of what he did after oasis split up, is gargabe to me. i would love if it would be different, but it's not, unfortunately. i wish him all the best and success, but as an oasis fan from the beginning, i don't understand how he can be so successful with what he's been doing with beady eye and as a solo artist. Because people like his music. There's nothing to understand. eh, if people believe that these piano sessions were the best live performance they ever heard from liam, than there is something to understand (or not...). because such claim is completely ridiculous. i can't even find words to describe how absurd that idea is.

Why? There’s something kind of older and wiser about it that maybe a youthful Liam Gallagher from 1996 wouldn’t bring. Do the final Johnny Cash albums compare to his 60s heyday? No.. but yes. Get off your high horse, lady!

I did not mention the piano session or his voice (which is clear: is NOT the perfect voice of WTSMG and BHN).

I don’t know, sorry. Did Shockwave vinyl come out on release day? I think we’re gonna get dripfed with promo etc this week, in the hope that interest in it will grow exponentially. Fair do's, nothing wrong with trying to make it a slow burner. Kind if did the same with FWIW I suppose. I'm assuming there will be a physical release since there has been artwork for it, but could be wrong. the problem is that without a vinyl release the song miss the chance for a good chart position. Already its #10 in trending chart (uk) n i think #41 in official uk chart. with vinyl sales could climp much higher n gibe the song a better momentum... i hope to be a slowburner like FWIW cause its a great track

And he was godlike. I dont know why he insists on bringing the full festival in your face style-vocals when there's just a piano and a cello. The weirdest thing ever, since it could really help his voice last longer. He clearly struggle but keeps on shouting. Why ? someone needs to tell him things one day. Looks like no one ever did. I enjoyed the two acoustic songs and hope the MTV gig will be good, but he really needs a slap sometimes.

There’s a difference in setup when on a massive stage like he usually is ,adrenaline aswell as being a naturally loud singer is part of the issue ..watch supersonic where he’s recording supernova he’s really loud when singing ,it’s like an amp some you have to turn up to 10 to get the sound and tone you require ..Hes more controlled in a studio environment

I did, but that's not the case in my account. I ordered the box on day one, long before 'the River' has been released. Other users here (who also pre-ordered early )also reported that 'The river' wasn't unlocked and instead received download links via e-mail after complaining to Warner.

Ha, the official store just sent me the mp3 code to Once. Better late than never, but it's been quite messy, good people from Warner. Thanks for not forgetting to send the link to us, who pre-ordered the album anyway.

Beautiful, moving song that has just been ruined by the vocals (or whatever that frog noise is on the studio version) in that instrumental break. I'm desperately hoping an instrumental mix of the song leaks so I can merge the two and simply mix that nonsense out. Liam had a frog in his throat that day.

Whats the next possible live session of once? (Radio, festivals) And, had someone ask (in some interview) to Liam if the song is about Noel?
