Here‘s the studio version from the end credits ripped straight from the iTunes version, so a bit better audio quality. clyp.it/a3qwzsjoGonna have to see if it’s possible to isolate the earlier part of the song when he's in the studio from the 5.1 mix later.

Sounds brilliant. And the interviewer at Q heard this and thought 'now that I found you' was better? This album sounds like an absolute belter.

Beautiful melody. If it's Liam all by himself, it's a very good job. Great vocals - he's able to channel a whole lot of emotion. Verse and pre-chorus is good, but the part "we only get to do it once" towards the end is boring and the melody a bit annoying to me, especially when he sings that line the second time and goes up with his voice. I guess this is the chorus, so I can't share the hyper excitement some people have for this track.

It sounds soooo good. Could definitely end up being one of my favourite Gallagher songs. The melody and lyrics are fan-fucking-tastic, and way more than I expected from "the FWIW of this album".
Bit of a shame that the song is not a lead single, as I'm afraid such a big part of the song being out there for a month or two before the full thing will take away some of the impact in hearing the full song for the first time. I understand they want the stomper that is Shockwave, but this would have been perfect to release in conjunction with the documentary.

I hope he plays it at glastonbury purely because it could be a highlight of the set considering hardly anyone wouldve heard it. I understand that they want a faster, more radio friendly tune as the lead. It should certainly be a the 2nd single. They would be mad to overlook it.......but then like you say, would make more sense to release it along with the movie. they probably shouldve released the movie sooner and released once as a standalone single between albums, its strong enough to achieve it.

Are y'all serious? Is it better than I'm Outta Time? Judging by the 2,5 minutes we've heard... Yes, I'd say it could definitely end up being the best thing he's ever done.

Reminds me of Back After The Break and Off At The Next Exit which were both highlights from the Beady Eye era. I'm encouraged by what I've heard so far.

My dad is going to love this one. He doesn't mind Oasis or Liam but never listens to them. He's very much stuck in the era he grew up in. I know he'll love this one though.

Are y'all serious? Is it better than I'm Outta Time? Yes. I’d say much better than I’m Outta Time. Unless the parts of the song that we have not yet heard are completely awful, Once just has to be the best thing he’s ever done. Simply beautiful.

This.sounds far better than FWIW. Nice. FWIW sounds like a generic and mediocre b-side compared to Once.

I really wish it went -
'You only get to do it once' *break* 'You only get to do it once' *break*
Repeating it higher seems a bit unnecessary. Just let the song breath! xD However, it's a bloody great song, by the sound of it here. Maybe other choruses will be slightly different.

I'm gonna go slightly off topic, but Off At The Next Exit is an absolute gem. As time passes by it's probably the Beady Eye song I feel most inclined to go back to over and over again.
